Description

*WE HAVE AMAZING WIFI (50mbps ++) AND 4 BEAUTIFUL PROPERTIES ON SITE. CLICK ON MY PROFILE TO SEE THE OTHER 3 HOUSES IN CASE THIS ONE IS BUSY DURING YOUR DESIRED DATES* At the fringes of the charming traditional Balinese village of Sudaji lies the Sekempul Falls Teak House. A 20m2 teak house with attached bathroom, 2m wide wrap-around balcony, charming gardens, and breathtaking views of sunset over mountains and a valley of ricefields dotted with palm trees. The space A slice of heaven in northern Bali, the Teak House offers a gateway to the Sekempul Waterfalls for a couple, family or small group of friends searching for tranquility and natural beauty. A quiet retreat in the breathtaking ricefields of a traditional Balinese village, a stay in the Sekempul Falls Teak House is a truly unique experience. The house is a spacious homestay lying in the ricefields at the fringe of a sleepy village nestled between the mountains and Bali’s northern coast. Guests to this magical space will be treated to breathtaking sunsets in a relaxed tranquil environment surrounded by farmland and forest. The house is ideal for guests searching for a glimpse of village life in rural Bali or finding a tranquil base, surrounded by nature, from which to explore northern Bali and the magnificent Sekempul waterfalls. The Sekempul Falls Teak House is a nearly 60 year-old teak house (gladak) imported from Java to the ricefields of north Bali. The lockable room is 4x5m with a queen-sized bed (with mosquito net and fresh linen), fan, closet and direct access to the stylishly tiled outdoor bathroom (covered and completely private with hot water and all modern amenities). The 2m wide balcony wraps around the other three sides and is completely covered over with adjustable blinds to offer greater privacy and protection from sun and rain. On the southern side of the balcony you have a comfortable day bed to rest during the day or catch a great book. On the northern side you have a kitchenette with a fridge and filtered water. You can help yourself to coffee, tea and drinking water in your kitchenette. And, across the front of the house you will find chairs with a coffee table from which to privately enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountains to the south, sea to the north and, in front of you to the west, a stunning valley of palm dotted ricefields over which the sunset sets offering breathtaking views. Wifi is 50mbps On the garden premises outside of the Teak House you will find a charming labyrinth shrine where local priest Pak Mangku and his wife Ibu Mangku offer a sunset cleansing ceremony to guests of Sunset Sala. Guest access **MEALS NEED TO BE ORDERED ONE DAY IN ADVANCE** Amazingly flavourful traditional Balinese food available. Everything is cooked with fresh ingredients and made fully from scratch using only coconut oil and without MSG! Full breakfast is 50K per person and dinner is 95K per person- once you book we'll give you the menu options** As guests of Sunsetsala, the occupants of the Sekempul Falls Teak House will have access to the shared kitchen facilities and surrounding fields through which to wander. The shared kitchen-dining area is equipped with fridge, cooking space, dining area and sitting room. If you choose to have us make breakfast for you, it will be prepared freshly and served in the open dining area or on your balcony each morning. Those wishing to cook might visit the charming local 'pasar' (market) (open between 4am and 7.30am) to buy fresh produce and prepare lunch or dinner in your kitchenette. Otherwise you might wish to wander up to the village where local warungs are or seek out a little more luxury from the restaurants of Singaraja, Air Saneh or Lovina. Alternatively, you can let us know the day before and we will prepare traditional cuisine for you right here in the shared kitchen (95K IDR per person). Meals are prepared with fresh local produce by Balinese cookery teacher Ibu Kadek Ayu. Vegetarian options available. Please let us know a day in advance about your meal preference for the following day. Other things to note Sudaji village is 3 hours from Ngurah Rai Airport and Kuta area by car. It is a lovely drive over the mountain from Buleleng and the voyage will typical cost 750k/850k IDR. We strongly recommend arriving in daylight. Regrettably, Sunsetsala and the Sekempul Falls Teak House are not currently wheelchair accessible and guests whose mobility is limited should be wary that the bungalow is located down a path through ricefields, some 200m from where your car stops (those with motorbikes will be able to proceed further). We rent motorbikes for 75K IDR per day. They include a small trunk in the back for your belongings.
