Description
Deane is a double room. It has an ensuite with a shower as well as a TV and tea/ coffee making facilities. The room looks over the rear lawns and garden and up into some of our steeper fields where you will often see cattle grazing. The space Hall Farm is a working farm, dating back to the 14th century. The farmhouse is set in 3 acres of gardens in a central, but private, village location - in Stogumber, West Somerset. We are a family run B&B and like to promote a 'home from home' ethos. Prices include a full breakfast. Guests are welcome to relax in the extensive gardens and summer house and BBQ facilities available. The grounds include a large off-street parking area. Secure, covered parking for bikes / motorbikes is also available. Stogumber is a quiet village nestling between the Quantock Hills, The Brendon Hills and Exmoor. The village has a shop, post office and pub, The White Horse. All are just a short walk across the churchyard from Hall Farm. The village has it's own cricket club and visitors are welcome to enjoy a drink as they watch a match and enjoy the beautiful scenery around the ground. The West Somerset heritage railway line has a picturesque station in the village. From the station you can travel south to Bishops Lydeard passing through the rural landscape or along the coast to Minehead. Other stops include Dunster - from where visitors can access the beach, the medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle Watchet - a great place for a wander, with cafes and Easy Quay, and arts and cultural venue Blue Anchor - a stretch of coastline with seating, cafes and the start of the 'Steam Coast Trail' a dog friendly, level walking route that follows the railway line and the coast to Dunster Beach. There is lots more to see and do in the village and surrounding area. We can help with ideas to ensure you enjoy you stay in West Somerset. Guest access Visitors have access to a guest lounge, with its original stone fireplace, and are welcome to use the lounge throughout their stay. There is a selection of games and reading materials available. Visitors are also invited to enjoy the gardens and make use of the summer house, terrace area, BBQ and brazier fire pit. The B&B is situated next to the village church and a private path through the churchyard leads to the village pub and shop/post office. Arrangements can often be made for visitors wishing to work during their stay to use the dining room after breakfast periods. During your stay We are happy to accommodate larger groups of visitors and families. For example, in the past we have been able to rearrange our dining space to allow a large family to have a shared breakfast experience. Please feel free to discuss specific requests with us at the time of booking. Other things to note We are very much a family B&B and guests are likely to meet members of the extended family as they pop in to the Farm during the day / week. We can also offer breakfasts to visitors or family living or staying locally if they'd like to join you during your stay.
