The space Each hut comes with exquisite sea views, the ideal place to relax and recharge, a world away from the touristic hustle. Enjoy a million stars in one of the many hammocks or lounges and let the gentle sound of the waves lull you to sleep. Our 10 spacious wooden huts (2,50m x 1,80m - inside) each come with 2 twin matrasses, linen, blankets, pillows, light, a storage shelf, mosquito net and endless sea views of the Adriatic and the numerous offshore islands of Korcula, Vis, Peljesac, Scedro, Bisevo, etc. Your seaview hut also features a private lounge area ! Guests can relax in 5 different lounge areas, 3 hammocks and a double sunbed. All accompanied by sea views. FACILITIES Common areas • A basic kitchen with a gas stove & oven • 3 fridges, 2 with freezer compartment - Dishwasher • Rainwater available with solar powered water pump • 1 locker per beach hut • 1 storage food box per beach hut • Lunch/dinner area with long wooden table • Seaview BBQ / pizza oven • 3 hammocks - Beach bar with snacks & drinks - Recycling area Sanitary - Main bathroom with 2 sinks, 2 toilets, shower and dressing room • Small bathroom with toilet, waterless urinal, outdoor shower & sink Please note that Cast Away is an eco resort with extremely limited water resources. Therefore we kindly ask our guests to be very sensible about water usage and follow our guidelines to save water as much as possible ON-SITE RENTALS - Paddle boards - Kayaks - Windsurfing boards - Mountainbikes VARIOUS • NO WIFI ! There's a 4G signal around here but not very reliable. We can also provide you our hotspot to check something quickly if urgent or necessary (bookings, tickets, etc.) • LIMITED ELECTRICITY Electricity is provided in the common area but it's limited. You can charge small devices only such as cell phones, tablets, cameras, etc. • RAINWATER Drinkable tap water is provided in the kitchen & bathrooms (hot water available from solar energy) Be aware that our water resources are extremely limited. When Cast Away is at full capacity, the firefighters need to come over the mountain with their truck to refill our water tank. They can only come every now and then, so we need to be very careful and save water as much as we can. If everyone follows our guidelines, everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay. Guest access BEACH BAR (WILSON'S) - Cocktails & mocktails - Cold beers - Refreshing drinks - Local wine & spirits - Snacks (Ham & cheese tosti's, chips & pretzels) Other things to note PETS You have to be an animal & nature lover when coming to Cast Away because we have cats, dogs and be aware that you're in the middle of nature so there might be insects around. Don't forget to bring your mosquito spray! The huts are well-protected with mosquito nets so it's more for when you're in the bar, in the hammocks, on the beach, etc. As we are an eco resort, we do ask to respect the sea life and let them be. Pets are allowed, free of charge. WHAT TO TAKE - Food (no shops or restaurants around for 4km) - A good pair of hiking shoes (Rocky area) - Slippers (Beach) - Water sandals (Pebble beach) - Good anti-mosquito spray !! (Mosquitoes at night and in the evenings!) - Sweater (Nights can be chilly sometimes when the 'Bura' northern wind blows)
