Valideçeşme fountain located in the Vişnezade Quarter in Maçka, one of the most inhabited districts of Istanbul, was built in 1839 for the mother of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan by 1. Abdülhamit. Sultan loved his mother so much that in the first months of the throne he gave orders to make this fountain. At that time he gave his name to the mansions surrounded by greenhouses and mansions.
