Description
Melaleuca Brumby is an self contained cottage for your stay or Swag-stay adventure. We are accommodation only , but when possible we like to include guests in feeding the livestock. During late July through to October the wild flowers are in bloom. They are spectacular around our area. Enjoy our many beautiful walking tracks throughout our farm, enjoy star gazing or bring along marshmallows for toasting at a campfire. We do not accept electric cars as we can't estimate charge rates used. The space If you need a break from the Hussel and Brussel of being cosmopolitan or you are from another country and would like to experience the Australian country aura this is for you. Come and see the wild flowers or go to the Drive-in at Koorda. The cottage is fully self contained, all you need to bring is your clothes, food and drinks. In winter you can lite the indoor wood heater, you can buy wood from Bunnings or prior arrange with us to have wood ready at an extra cost. The cottage has a BBQ and patio for outside enjoyment. Guest access We do not accept Electric Cars due to the inability to estimate electricity being used. Due to Foot and Mouth Disease we currently can not accept bookings from guests that have visited Indonesia/ Bali within 28 of their stay with us. Our guests are welcome throughout our property but they do need our permission to access most of it on the day as per new government bio security laws. This can be arranged through one phone call to us or letting us know the day of your arrival of your walking adventure plans. Other things to note Just in case you require a small animal or baby animal petting farm, WE ARE NOT IT !! We do like to take guests out when we feed our stock but they are stock not pets. As we are accommodation and for the safety of other guests, we do not appreciate any type of gun wether your in a club or not, our animals are great to be photographed instead. We are a working farm and do like to include our guests in some of the activities. At different times of the year we can not offer any safe activities other than walking the tracks around our paddocks. There are some great sightseeing places around our area to enjoy. We do have salt lakes and large rocks to sight see from, Mt Marshall is just one of many. In summer our area being a very dry farming area of stock and crops, has a lot of flies due to the sheep and cattle production, they are very friendly. We do very much suggest to buy a hat supported fly net. It doesn’t seem like you feel this is important but when the flies are thick you will feel that you have not had a relaxing time. Winter time ( most flies are gone) The cottage does have a wood fire heater, please bring wood if you would like to use it. It can not be used in the summer on those lovely cool nights as our area is also a crop area of dry wheat, barely and hay production. Please bring all food items as we do not have coles or woolies for approximately an hour away. We do have a very small IGA store 25klms away from us. We do have stock animals which means they are not tame to pat, this is including our horses. Most are fine with you being short distance away but not close to them. Some of our horses are stallions. Please remember to shut any gate you open to go through as we certainly don’t want anything happening to them or yourself. Registration Details STRA64764YC0SZ1S
