Lillian May is a Victorian Villa in the Kingdom of Fife overlooking the RiverTay and new V and A in Dundee on the Fife Coastal Path, with views over the River Tay up to the Scottish Highlands. Centrally located for Championship Golf Courses and many Historical Attractions. Recently refurbished to provide four star accommodation with ensuites, but maintaining the charm and warmth of it's original character. The space Jackie, the owner, named Lillian May B&B after her Grandmother and just like her, takes pride in anything she does maintaining a quality personal service for guests who enjoy a warm and friendly welcome to her home. Guests from all over the world, particularly those tracing family history, enjoy hearing of Jackie’s hereditary and of her Grandfather who was a Chief Clansman, and each year, hosted the Clan coming together for their International Annual Ball. Jackie has helped trace family history for some of her regular guests. Many find it a very special time tracing the steps of their ancestors through our historic buildings and Castles in Scotland. Jackie is a member of the only Ladies Golf Club in St Andrews and as a member, regularly plays the famous St Andrews Old Course, Kingsbarns and famous Scottish Championship courses as well as many less famous but equally challenging but picturesque courses. Golf for the golfer travelling alone can have a tee time and golfing partner arranged. She enjoys a wide variety of hobbies and having grown up in the area knows many hidden gems and is happy to help organise Walking and Historical Tours. Lillian May is situated in a quiet but friendly village within 10 mins drive of many famous facilities and landmarks to attract all interests. It is well serviced by local transport and airports including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen. The two local Train Stations, Leuchars and Dundee are the main line from Aberdeen to London and minutes’ drive away. Guests particularly enjoy being close enough to make full use of the holiday atmospheres of the beaches and little villages along the Fife Coastal Route and enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and events organised by local organisations for example St Andrews University, Theatres, The Victoria and Albert Museum. For those who enjoy a more active hobby, they can golf in some of our local yet worlds famous Championship Courses or take a picnic and explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands photographing the diverse bird and wildlife. The evenings then can be spent watching one of the stunning sunsets on the River Tay in a luxurious and quiet haven to enjoy a glass of wine while watching a movie or just relax contemplating the next day’s adventure. Guest access Guests have access to our dining area and lounge to enjoy relaxing watching Sky TV or just enjoy the peace and quiet with the stunning views/sunsets over the River Tay up to the Scottish Highlands.
