Cottage with tennis court and pool

A single storage cottage close to Ashdown Forest offering an all weather tennis court and outdoor swimming pool (heated June - August). The cottage sits in its own enclosed garden. The local area offers excellent golf, cycling, fishing and walking. The cottage sits in its own enclosed garden. The heated swimming pool is within a separate secluded secure garden. There is a barbecue area and seating for al fresco dining. There is a barn which can be used for the safe storage of bikes and there is ample parking for a number of cars. (Minimum two night booking) The neighbourhood The Peacock Inn is in walking distance and is the quintessential country inn offering a wealth of historic features. Farm shops are within easy driving distance, stocking a wide variety of farmhouse produce, much of it sourced locally. Supermarkets are within easy distance. Other things to note The pool will be heated 27 May - 18 September. The temperature is set to 28 - 30 degrees but it is heated by a heat exchanger, we can never guarantee that it will achieve this temperature. Although we do our utmost to keep the pool in tip top condition, it has been known to get algae bloom and had to be closed for a couple of days until safe to swim again Guest access Guests have exclusive access and use of the cottage garden. Access to the main property garden, the tennis court and swimming pool is solely at the discretion of the owners and must be requested. We rarely use the pool ourselves during the week so it is more likely it will be available for use then. If private pool use is a key factor in your booking, please get in touch before confirming your reservation. The pool may be used by our family members at any time and exclusive use cannot be guaranteed. We also respectfully ask that the pool is not to be used for more than 3 consecutive hours at a time. Please note, outside visitors are not allowed access to any part of the property, for safety and insurance reasons. Please do not invite outside guests, especially not to use the pool. Other things to note We welcome well behaved pets. We have two labradors of our own. The garden is enclosed by post and rail, with stock fencing. Small dogs could easily escape. The cottage is suitable for a maximum of 4 adults and parking for 2 cars. We politely ask that you do not receive external visitors while you're staying at the Cottage. We do not cook breakfast but will supply all food and drinks for you.
