Description

Located on one of Porto's most emblematic streets, in the heart of the city, close to the historic center. The typical bourgeois-style apartment (1950s) can accommodate up to 4 people. It has AC with heating and cooling. Its location allows you to explore the countless corners and monuments of the magnificent city of Porto on foot. The nearest metro station is a 6/7-minute walk (Bolhão). Next to the apartment you can find a pharmacy, restaurants, cafes, shops and three rent-a-car companies. The space The apartment has been completely renovated while maintaining some of the original features, such as some brickwork and the wooden floor of the living room. The apartment is made available in its entirety, so access is total and exclusive. It has a bedroom with a double bed (140cm x 200cm) that has two windows that give it plenty of natural light. There is also a wardrobe with hangers to hang your clothes and individual drawers. The room is also equipped with air-conditioning (for hot and cold) and a recliner and a work table with enough space to place a laptop. The living room has a sofa to sit comfortably and watch TV with access to national and international channels. It has a dining table for 4 people, which opens or closes according to the needs of the guests. It is also equipped with air-conditioning for heating and cooling. In the same space, there is a functional kitchen equipped with a fridge with freezer, microwave with grill, dishwasher, electric kettle, ceramic hob, oven, coffee maker, pots, plates, glasses, cutlery, cups, among others. Before arriving at the room, you will find a cozy space with a sofa where you can read a book in a relaxed manner. This sofa converts into a bed for two people. The space stands out from the others by the historic brickwork, more than 100 years old, painted in depth and full of history, which was kept in its original state and influenced the name of the apartment. The apartment also has a small laundry room equipped with a washing machine, ironing board, steam iron, a small clothesline, broom and a bucket with mop. We provide free laundry detergent. The bathroom is complete with a private shower, hairdryer, shampoo/body wash, hair conditioner, liquid hand soap, and a first aid kit. The apartment is located in the middle of Rua de Santa Catarina, after the pedestrian area. It's in the area where cars are already circulating. It is located 900 meters from the City Hall. Rua de Santa Catarina is very long, connecting Praça do Marquês to Rua 31 de Janeiro (beginning of the historic zone). Along the way, you can find huge traditional shops, cafes, restaurants and many international brand shops. Near the apartment, you can find an excellent pizzeria as well as some cafes. Just below the apartment, you can also find a rent-a-car and a pharmacy. Nearby, there are also banks, mini-markets and the LA VIE and Via Catarina malls (8-minute walk). Nearest Restaurant: 3 meters Nearest Rent-a-car: 25 meters Nearest cafe: 30 meters Nearest tobacco shop: 32 meters Nearest pharmacy: 70 meters Nearest grocery store: 200 meters Nearest bank: 250 meters Nearest supermarket: 700 meters Porto City Hall: 900 meters (12-minute walk) Beginning of Porto's official historic center: 14-minute walk There is a parking lot nearby. It is private and operates 24 hours (for a fee). It is 330 meters from the apartment. Another option: paid parking on the public road (near the apartment). Payment made every two hours (usual amount - €2.40 every 2 hours). Free at night (from 7 p.m. to 8:59 a.m.) and on Sunday (all day). Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment (except the space where the water heater is located). Other things to note The city of Porto is an old city, with many ups and downs, it is not a flat city. Por isso se quer realmente conhecer a cidade a melhor maneira é andando a pé. Se não conseguir ou não quiser, pode também escolher andar de metro ou de autocarro, ou até mesmo de bicicleta elétrica ou trotineta elétrica. Não se esqueça que o check-in é automático e inteligente e não é presencial, mas fique descansado porque serão dadas todas as informações e sugestões sobre o apartamento e a cidade. Por questões de segurança e legalidade, os acessos ao apartamento só serão fornecidos depois de confirmadas e validadas todas as identidades de todos hóspedes (independentemente da nacionalidade). Para reservas iguais ou superiores a 28 noites é obrigatório a assinatura de um contrato de reserva de médio-prazo. Nestas estadias existe um limite de despesas de água, luz e do pack de internet/televisão no valor total de 140€. Se ultrapassarem esse montante, o valor em excesso terá que ser pago pelo hóspede. Lotação: o apartamento só tem capacidade para 4 hóspedes, sejam adultos, crianças ou bebés. Por questões legais e de segurança não é possível trazer mais hóspedes que a lotação máxima, incluindo crianças e bebés. Alertamos para o facto se tratar de um apartamento com piso de madeira antigo. É normal sentir alguns ruídos na zona da sala enquanto se desloca, ou ouvir passos dos vizinhos de cima. Poderá verificar através dos nossos comentários de avaliação que o apartamento é recuado e costuma ser tranquilo, sossegado e isolado do trânsito, contudo compreenda que estamos numa cidade e podem ocorrer eventos que não estão no controlo do anfitrião, tais como obras nas proximidades, barulhos de outros residentes do edifício, entre outros. Tentamos sempre ter o cuidado de evitar eventos que possam ser desconfortáveis para os hóspedes contudo nem todos estão no nosso controlo. --- The city of Porto is an old city with many "ups and downs", it is not a flat city. So if you really want to get to know the city, the best way is walking. If you can't or don't want to, you can also choose to ride the metro or bus, or even a bike (suggestion - electric bike). For security and legal reasons, access to the apartment will only be provided after confirming and validating all guests identities. In the apartment you can find shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and other amenities. Ask me if you have any questions. The apartment is located in Santa Catarina Street (area where cars are already circulating). Just next door you will find a restaurant serving daily meals. Just below the restaurant you will also find a rent-a-car and a pharmacy. Also nearby are banks, mini markets and the LA VIE and Via Catarina shopping malls (7 minuts walking). Capacity: the apartment only has capacity for 4 guests, whether adults, children or babies. For legal and security reasons, it is not possible to bring more guests than the maximum capacity, including children and babies. Please note that this is an apartment with an old wooden floor. It is normal to experience some noise in the living room area while moving, or to hear footsteps from the neighbors above. You will be able to verify through our evaluation comments that the apartment is set back and is usually quiet, peaceful and isolated from traffic, however, understand that we are in a city and events that are not in the control of the host may occur, such as works/construction nearby, noises from other residents of the building, among others. We always try to be careful to avoid events that may be uncomfortable for guests, however not all of them are within our control. ---- The nearest metro stations are: - Bolhão (7minuts walking) - Trindade (11 minuts walking) The most direct is: Bolhão (but you will have to change line); Trindade station is further away, approximately 11 minutes walk but no change of lines and goes straight to the airport. For reservations longer than 28 nights or more a written mid-term service contract is mandatory and we have a limit of expenses for water, electricity and the internet/television pack in the amount of €140.
