Sunset Retreat, Gwithian Retreats - shepherds hut

Sunset Retreat is a hand crafted shepherds hut with all the traditional features but with all the home comforts we all like. It is within walking distance of Gwithian beach which is a 3 mile stretch of sand towards St Ives that is perfect for surfing, kite surfing, paddling and rock pooling. Also in walking distance is Gwithian nature reserve, the South West Coastal Path as well as The Red River Inn, The Rockpool and Godrevy Cafe which are all dog friendly. One dog is welcome to join in the fun. The space **New for 2025 - an outside roll top bath to relax and enjoying watching the stars and listening to the waves. Inside the shepherds hut there is an open planned kitchen and sitting area. The kitchen has a full sized double oven and fridge, along with a microwave, toaster, kettle along with all the usual utensils. The sitting area has 2 armchairs and 2 large bean bags to relax and watch the television, along with a log burner. There is also a fold away table to seat 4 people. The bathroom has an enclosed shower, sink and WC. There is a king sized bed to one end of the hut that can be accessed both sides of the bed and 2 single beds above which can be reached by a ladder. There is storage beneath the beds and at a small wardrobe and shelves at the end of the bed. There is underfloor heating throughout making it nice and cosy even in winter. Outside the garden is enclosed to keep dogs safe along with a picnic bench to enjoy the perfect sunsets we often have. There is also a hot outside shower to rinse off the sand. There is off road parking for up to 3 cars. Other things to note Sunset Retreat is a shepherds hut at the back of Parc Place, 6 Prosper Hill. As it is not a separate address supermarket deliveries and post struggle to find it. Parc Place can sleep 6 guests and can be booked as the same time as the shepherds hut to give more space. The gardens are connected via a gate. Electric cars can not be charged at the hut as the electricity is shared with Parc Place which is an old cottage. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate personal requirements for bedding. Please contact us if you would like to know what tog duvet if provided. Mobile reception for some providers can be limited and guests may need to use wi-fi calling instead. Guests camping or guests/extra guests staying in mobile homes/vans is not permitted.
