Please note. I am VACCINATED against CoVid and would expect guests wanting to stay in my home to also be vaccinated. Blissful isolation and perfect location. My cottage is close to Nelson Lakes National Park and Rainbow Ski field. You’ll love my place because it's set amongst farmland and has a wonderful view over the river. The bed is a European King size bed with 2 single mattresses and is very comfy. Your room has it's own TV and is next to the bathroom. The space Please note. I am VACCINATED against CoVid and would expect guests wanting to stay in my home to also be vaccinated. My home is a modest New Zealand style cottage furnished with European furniture and decors. It is located in a valley away from traffic noise and the turmoils of the current times. Set on 3000sq.m site is an outdoor bath ( small surcharge for use) and plenty of space to chill out in with a view to the river or mountains. This is a place people come to to enjoy nature, tranquility and the sound of birds to wake to. Gold panning and bush walks are in the valley. Nearby is the Nelson Lakes National Park. Fishing, hiking, walks, 4WD, mountain biking, hang gliding (and skiing in winter - pending) are a few of the activities on my doorstep. Within 1.5hrs drive are Nelson, Blenheim, Westport, Abel Tasman National Park, Wineries and Arts and Craft galleries. I love to be outside, read, paint, work in the garden and cook using home grown products. I am a Kiwi but have lived in Europe for over 20 years. I speak Dutch, German, Italian, French. I have come back to NZ to enjoy the outdoors and bring with me a touch of the European flair in hospitality and food. The property is not child friendly and therefore I do not accept requests for children to stay here. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the kitchen ( a separate fridge is available to you) and bathroom ( both shared spaces) and some outdoor seating areas. As the closest cafe, restaurant is 15km's away, I am happy to cook a home style dinner for $25.00 per person. Please request in advance. Payment by cash. During your stay Under the current situation with COVID you can expect me to abide by the NZ Health Board's standards and recommendations when interacting with you. While NZ does not have community transmission I will not be wearing a mask in my own home as per AIRBnB's direction. It is your choice if you prefer to do so when interacting with me. I am a peoples person and so enjoy a good chat. I also have a licensed passenger vehicle for transfers to the airports, tours to wineries and artisans so if you want to get to know the area as a local and even go off the beaten track then feel free to ask. Supplement to accommodation incl. 2 x 2 course dinners, use of spa pool, outdoor fire and hot chocolate to keep you warmed up while gazing under the night sky. $200.00 for 2 persons. 2 nights supplementary charge. Must be requested at time of booking. 2/ Tour the 'Hidden Gems of the Nelson Lakes' visiting an historic pub, test your archery skills, bush walk, hear stories of the past, experience scenic beauties and more with your host and local guide. 10.00am -3pm. $125,- pp. Must be booked in advance. 3/ Greet the morning ~ ( introduction to ) Yoga with Ashton~ on deck overlooking the river. Available for 2 night stays or longer, subject to availability. $50.00pp.
