Villa in the Vineyard near Somerset West

Skaap huis is situated on a secure estate, has a private pool and garden with outside dining, gas BBQ, loungers & solar battery back-up during power failures. The house has fibre internet and the speed can be adjusted to your requirements (might be an extra). Our 8 sleeper villa is surrounded by vineyards owned by Skaap wines, a small boutique winery on the Schapenbergen near Somerset West, Cape Town. The space Skaap Huis, the villa, is surrounded by 3 hectares of vineyards. From the east patio you have a magnificent view over the vineyard onto the Hottentot Holland mountains. On the west patio you have your own pool and BBQ area. This beautiful 4 bedroom house is ideal for families and friends that want to stay somewhere quiet while being close to all the attraction that this area has to offer. The villa is actually three houses linked together. The middle part of the house is the space where you come together. It has a living area with wine cooler, breakfast bar and open plan kitchen with dining table. The kitchen comes with all the modern appliances you require (Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, ceramic plate, oven, microwave and fridge). The utility room has washing machine, dryer, extra fridge and freezer. This house has two patio's on each side. The northern house, linked by a small passage from the middle part, has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. All bedrooms have a king size bed and air conditioning. We can seperate one bed, should you require two singles. Kindly let us know before arrival. The southern house, connected to the middle house via a beautiful entrance. Has two rooms, the entertainment room with Smart TV and DSTV and on the other side a study, walk-in wardrobe, private bathroom and upstairs bedroom. The villa is part of Lalapanzi Lodge, that offers breakfast, dinner and massages in the guesthouse close to the villa. All of this needs to be booked in advance, should you like to make use of it. Lalapanzi Lodge is part of Wedderwill secure country estate. A 266 hectare security country estate that we share with other home owners and other farms. Wedderwill Estate has numerous walks trails and a large dam that can be used for swimming or you can use our kayack. As we are located off the beaten track, kindly note that we highly recommend that our guests have there own car while staying with us. Should you like to go out for wine tastings, we can always arrange a local taxi service for you in advance or a wine tour. Uber service is available but not very fast in this area. The villa is set in our working vineyard, this means that we have to attend to the vines every two weeks and harvest every year, which may cause some noise disturbance during your stay. Guest access The house is located in Wedderwill Secure Country Estate. Guests can make use of the walking trails and/or go for a swim in the dam. Lalapanzi Lodge offers breakfast, platters, dinners and massages, which can be booked in advance.
