As is typical in most Japanese homes, the bedrooms are primarily for sleeping. As such, they are equipped with Japanese style futons (folded and stored in closets) but not much of anything else. I am sure that you will find something to respond to your heart. That impression might be greater than seeing typical Japanese stuff like the temples in Kyoto.
