Treetops is set in a unique area with tall trees, wide shady verandahs, large outdoor areas, and a rustic garden. Treetops is an easy walk to Blackburn and Laburnum train stations and shopping areas, offering trains, buses and a variety of shopping including banks, post office, pharmacies restaurants and cafes. The space We offer spacious rooms with their own ensuite bathrooms with heated towel rails, queen sized bed, clock radio, electric blankets, air conditioners, ceiling fans, TV, microwave oven, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, dining & lounge area, solar heated outdoor pool (for resident guest use only) & heated outdoor spa. Light breakfast ingredients are placed in the room for you to serve yourself. Treetops is an easy ten minute walk to the Blackburn, Laburnum and South Blackburn shopping strips with trains & buses, banks, post office, newsagencies, bakeries, pharmacies, cafes (with good coffee) & restaurants. For those guests who choose to use public transport, it's a 20 minute train trip to Central Melbourne's theatres, galleries, shopping, restaurants, and well known sporting precincts, such as the MCG, Rod Laver Tennis Centre, Etihad & AAMI stadiums. Treetops is also well located to visit the Puffing Billy steam train, the Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Phillip Island penguins. Treetops offer two rooms, 'Rose' & 'Alice', which are suitable for one or two people in each room. The couch in 'Rose' can be folded out to make a double bed to accommodate another guest. The basic rate is for one person. Rates for two, or three people are shown when the number of guests are selected. Your hosts, Sue and Jim live on site and are available at all times. Each guest room has its own secure lockable front door off the verandah, so guests can come and go as they please. Treetops is well serviced with trains and buses. The Melbourne train, tram and bus services are linked and fares can be paid with the Myki card. Treetops can be reached from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport by car or taxi, or Skybus to Southern Cross railway station, and then train to Blackburn station. Guest access Guests are asked to feel free to enjoy the rustic half acre garden, the pool and its surrounds. We have wide verandahs around the house and guests are most welcome to walk around or find a comfortable seat in the sunshine. During your stay Please feel free to contact us any time. Your rooms have their own private front doors which open onto the spacious verandahs. To speak to us just walk around to our door, someone is always there. Other things to note Our home is on half an acre of garden so we have plenty of space for parking. Every guest has total privacy as their rooms have their own entrance.
