The space Situated in the heart of Sutivan along the scenic harbor promenade, this old castle in form of a tower with the original name Kastil Marijanović, was built in 17th century by a settler Janko Marijanović - Dražoević, known as count Janko. This Janko's palace is a picturesque and relatively small building, with inclined ground-floor providing with impression of being fortress, with balcony overlooking the sea and sun clock on its southern side. It has been in my family for almost 100 years, and the sun clock was restored in 2004 and since then has regained full functionality. It is just a magnificent and unique building, I dare say. We are exceptionally proud of our family tradition of welcoming guests in our home, started by our grandparents. We try hard to continue the tradition and offer the exceptional experience of the house and the town we love so much. As house has ground floor pus additional two floors, we offer several possibilities: - Apartment with 2 bedrooms (4+1 pax) on the second floor- THIS LISTING - Beautiful double bedroom with the famous balcony and bathroom on the first floor - LISTING CASTEL NONNA FRANKA- ROOM WITH BALCONY - ground floor is our private area and reception and is not for rent - Upon availability it is possible to rent both the apartment on the second floor and bedroom with the balcony on the first floor (6+1 pax) price upon request The apartment has been renovated in 2015 and now has an additional charm of old stone walls in every room and a bigger dinning and living room. The warmth and airiness of the rooms is obtained through valuable old furniture and simple Mediterranean decor. When entering this old fort you will immediately feel the special intimate and warm atmosphere. Each detail of our interior was passionately chosen, and we dedicate special attention to each of our guests. WELCOME! Guest access You have the access to the apartment on the second floor. You will get your own set of keys for the apartment and the front door of the house. Whatever you choose, you will enjoy it by yourself and your loved one/s. If you have any questions and problems, during the day you may find is on the ground floor or just call/ send text and we'll be there in a second. There is a separate entrance to the first and second floor on the east side of the house. Other things to note The house is in the very center of the town, so you may expect cultural events just few meters from the house. Also, every year on 16th August there is a big celebration of our patron saint, so expect louder music till late. Windows are new so closing them would minimize the effect :) However, it is just one day. Here you can definitely experience the real life in Sutivan.
