Our quaint old mountain farm is quietly located on the Rottachberg at 1050 m in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park. An ideal place for those looking for a sporty or rather contemplative encounter with the elemental power of the Allgäu mountains. Art, nature, ecology and wild originality unite at the Lacherhof for a relaxing but also stimulating stay. Underfloor heating and fireplace with plenty of firewood! Photovoltaics, wall box for your electric car and e-bike. Sled and snowshoe rental The space The studio in the former cowshed in our 400-year-old farm was newly expanded in 2018. Incorporating the old beams and the feeding trough, a uniquely charming location was created with large windows and a huge panoramic terrace. Here you can experience the original life in the mountains up close, without a TV. You can light the fire in the fireplace yourself, with our help, and cozy warmth surrounds you while you enjoy the view of the valley and the mountains. Of course, there is also modern comfort in the kitchen and bathroom ( large glass shower cabin) as you know it and underfloor heating. The studio is ideal for 2 people, but you can also live in it for a limited time with children or friends of four, because it is spacious at 47 sqm and offers plenty of space and freedom of movement. There are exclusively solid wood furniture, oak parquet, a well-equipped solid wood kitchen and a solid wood bed with Allnatura latex mattresses. In addition, a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people. With us, everything is authentic and there is not the rustic kitsch on concrete that is so popular in the Allgäu. For example, the table consists of ancient boards that belonged to a barn door of the Lacherhof. The Lacherhof is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and an encounter with nature around the house and nearby. People who want to visit the tourist hotspots of Allgäu are certainly more conveniently located accommodations in the Illertal or close to the highway. We try to farm as ecologically and naturally as possible. The cowshed has underfloor heating (pellets central heating), but you are also welcome to heat with the fireplace. The wood we use to operate the wood stoves in the house is from our own forest or from neighbors and is very well dried. Hot water is generated with a pellet heating system, supported by a photovoltaic system, which also supplies electricity for our wall boxes, with which you can easily charge your electric car and bicycle. In many details, we try to conserve resources. So there is also a soda stream bubbler in the cowshed with which you can liven up our excellent alpine water from the tap. Soap, cleaning and cleaning products are made of sonnet, from organically grown raw materials and without synthetic additives. Guest access The apartment is self-contained and has a separate, ground-level entrance, with an approx. 14 cm high threshold and a 15 cm high step, therefore only partially accessible for people with disabilities. The anteroom is available for luggage, bicycles, skis. The huge, 24 sqm panoramic terrace to the southeast is at your disposal alone. You hover over the valley and have a fantastic view.
