Greens Beach Family Holiday Home

Our "shack" at Greens Beach is a comfortable holiday home for our family (including 2 dogs!) and we have tried to set it up for all the activities that the area offers (and we love!). It is 5 minutes walk to the beach (less if you have a Labrador or large water loving dog!), shop, golf club and tennis courts. We have provided most of the basics for these activities! It is a perfect spot to relax or a base to explore what the Tamar Valley has to offer! The space Our shack is what we dreamed of: BBQ's on the porch with views over the beach (BBQ is included), spacious areas for entertaining, both front and back of the house and we have provided a couple of sets of golf clubs (if you're a little more serious bring your own to fully enjoy what is a very good links style course), our family key to the tennis club and rackets, boogie boards and a small kayak. (Greens Beach is very shallow for quite a distance and we provide a children’s life jacket, but any use of the kayak is solely at the risk of the guests). All beds have comfy, good quality, medium firmness, mattresses And yes, we are house trained dog friendly (just please keep them off the furniture and beds and please don’t leave them unattended at the property); in fact, we have two fully enclosed dog runs (coming off the beach all dog owners will know why) and our backyard is fully enclosed. Please note there is an extra charge of $25 per stay (just add your pet/s when you are booking) with pets to cover a little extra cleaning time (please note if we find evidence of pets staying that we haven’t been notified about the charge will be $50; unfortunately this is for the small minority that want to try to save the $25 by not notifying us). We also expect any pet leavings around the yard to be picked up prior to check out. If there are any queries regarding this please let us know. We have a 3X3 shed at the front of the property, which is available for guest storage, along with housing activity items and extra wood for the fire. That is enough about the place, but a little about the location! Less than 15 minutes drive to Beauty Point and Beaconsfield with easy takeaways, great pub, cafe or restaurant meals on offer, the Beaconsfield Mine and heritage Centre, Seahorse and Platypus world within 10 minutes and of course the Tamar Valley wine route within 15 minutes drive of Greens Beach! All within a 50 minute drive of Launceston! The only caveat we have is that we have a small shed in the backyard that is for our storage, and a cupboard in the second bedroom that is used for cleaner storage. Other than that, we hope you enjoy the home and location as much as we do when we can get there! There is also WiFi connected with a smart TV in the main lounge, but we do not provide any streaming subscription services sorry. The house is on tank water so we would greatly appreciate if long showers and excessive clothes laundering and washing cars could be avoided. Please note that campers in roof tents etc. need to be included in guest numbers. Any queries please contact us prior to booking. Other things to note Whilst we are pet friendly, unfortunately we won't accept cats due to an allergy in our family. Apologies to all those cat lovers! We are happy to accept up to 3 pets per booking. Anymore than this violates council policy sorry. Our preferred communication is via Airbnb messages.
