A rare & unique hideout for you in our Roman city.

Firstly, we take only 4 night bookings for the Festival of Speed & 3 for the Revival. The location is great for Goodwood, the town centre, Chichester Festival Theatre, plus the sea & the countryside. It is an hour's drive from Gatwick, & a bit more from Heathrow. The property overlooks a lake & is in a designated 'picturesque area'. There is a large garden, which guests are welcome to make use of. Our home has been described both as ‘an oasis of peace & calm’ & ‘like the land of Narnia’! :) The space In addition to making our own organic bread (Italian country loaves and sourdough), our chickens keep us well provided with delicious, fresh, organic eggs. Our milk is also organic, as well as locally produced and sourced. We keep bees which have produced prize-winning honey & which is served at breakfast. The large double room is light and airy and has a comfy Kingsize Four Poster Bed with a handmade mattress and high quality luxury bedlinen. The room is decorated with eco-friendly, healthy, non-toxic paint, which is ideal for any allergy sufferers. The bedding is washed with Ecover Washing Powder, which is also non-allergenic. There is plenty of room for your to hang and store your clothes, as well as to put your bags. The curtains are black-out curtains. There are tea/coffee making facilities. Finally, there's ample parking space. Guest access The annexe is on the side of the property and you can access your room directly, without the need to enter the main house and giving our guests some extra independence. During your stay We will be available to help you throughout your stay. Other things to note Our house is old, with part of it dating back to the 16th Century. It has been described variously as "a little quirky", as being "like Southfork Ranch" of Dallas fame, and even as like "entering the land of Narnia"! Make of it what you will! Although it is situated on a road leading into and out of the town, it is set well back off the road, which makes it nice and quiet. Minimum four night stays only are taken for the Festival of Speed in July and the Goodwood Revival in September.
