Private Bliss

You will love our place because of the privacy and seclusion. Close to the beach, our place is best for couples or solo adventurers. The space This beautiful little one-bedroom bach has been completely renovated and boasts excellent indoor/outdoor flow to decks on both the west and east sides. Open up the bifold doors from your bedroom and watch the sunrise over native plantings as you sip coffee in bed. After a day at the beach, enjoy a BBQ on the west deck as you watch the sunset. Or, relax in an outdoor bath under the stars. This bach is set on a 25-acre property, with 5 acres of groomed lawn, a (young) orchard and a few herbs growing in a garden box on site. The bach is about 800m off Tokerau Beach. It is a short drive to a multitude of beaches on the peninsula or you can go for a lovely walk via farm tracks (takes about 20 minutes). There is plenty of space for parking vehicles/boats and plenty of fresh (bore) water. The nearest 'major' shopping centre for amenities is Kaitaia, about 25 minute drive. There is a convenience store with all the basics, petrol and a liquor store on the Peninsula. Carrington Estate and Winery/golf course is a short drive away as well and is a beautiful location to spend an afternoon with a bottle of wine and a seafood platter. Although this bach is best suited to two people, we can accommodate families with young kids who are ok sleeping on sofas or on mattresses on the lounge floor. You are welcome to bring one pet along (there is a small fee to help cover extra cleaning). If it's a dog please do not let it sleep on the sofa or bed. We have food and water bowls for you to use but please bring your dog's preferred bed for sleeping. Please pick up poos and put in outdoor rubbish bin. There is a lot of open space, but it is not fully fenced/ secure so if you have a dog that likes to wander bring a long lead. Guest access You will have access to roam around the entire bach and property, which is about 3 acres of lawn/groomed area (surrounded by paddocks and wide open spaces). Other things to note Please note that the TV isn't a smart TV so you need to bring hdmi and a laptop etc. to access netflix, Disney + Skygo, YouTube etc. One other note about the cleaning fee. We are conscious that it is kind of annoying to have an extra cleaning fee tacked on. All linens are professionally cleaned (and pressed for crisp bed linens) and the bach is professionally cleaned between each guest. All of this costs significantly more than we charge guests, which is why we have a two night minimum.
