We are Nick and Chania and between us, we have over fifty years of experience of owning and running self-catering businesses. We re-located to France 10 years ago and now own and run this beautiful small collection of five gîtes in the Charente Maritime. We know holidays are very important so it is our aim to make sure that everything is perfect so that you have a relaxing and memorable visit to France. The space This is a delightful and spacious, two bedroom stone gîte in an enclosed courtyard. Located in the grounds of a former Cognac distillery, Le Gîte du Portail is approached through grand entrance gates and has its own large, partially shaded garden with extensive views over wonderful open countryside. This gîte has been carefully renovated and recently modernised to a very high standard, offering spacious accommodation for up to four people. Le Gîte du Portail is surprisingly large inside with thick stone walls, making it beautifully cool in summer and very cosy in the winter. Guest access Formerly a Cognac distillery, Le Manoir de la Foye is now a delightful collection of five gîtes situated in the beautiful Charente Maritime region of France. Each gîte has its own private patio area and shared use of the heated swimming pool, summer kitchen and games room and have all been carefully restored and upgraded into comfortable homes for your holiday and are within easy access to the coast and a wide range of activities. Other things to note During summer months we only rent by the week, Saturday - Saturday.
