The space Welcome to Villa Tenang, overlooking the ricefields and jungle in Penestanan. A peaceful sanctuary, this beautiful 3 bedroom villa is perfect for families, groups of friends and couples to relax, unwind and enjoy your private pool. It's easy to pop into town or explore the celebrated local Penestanan restaurants, arts and culture scene, take a yoga or pilates class, or a classic ricefield walk. Please note that Villa Tenang is not directly accessible by car. It is a short 10min stroll - about 800m - from the main road, Jalan Penestanan, or a couple of minutes by scooter. This is what helps make it such a peaceful location. While it is away from hectic central Ubud, the centre of town is still within very easy reach - from the main road it’s only 10 mins by scooter or car (depending on traffic) or a 20-25 min walk. ~The villa ~ 3 large fully enclosed, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own large ensuite, are set over two levels. Master bedroom 1 is on the ground level, overlooking the beautiful pool and tropical garden. Wake up to fabulous views over the ricefields and jungle from the two upstairs master bedrooms. Each room is very spacious, with a comfortable queen sized bed, table and chairs, closet, and its own large ensuite bathroom. The large living, dining and kitchen area is open air, overlooking the pool and garden. There is a large and very comfortable couch, perfect to stretch out on, and a large dining table. If cooking is your thing, you'll love the large kitchen, which has a full size fridge & freezer, gas stove, microwave, and all the necessities, including a blender, pots, pans and utensils. Our villa manager Wayan can organise a driver to take you to the Bintang supermarket 5 mins away, or on request can pick up groceries for you. A small fee for transport costs will apply Enjoy lounging in your private 7x3m pool at any time of the day. There is a also large couch on the second floor balcony where you can relax and there are also tables and chairs on the balcony outside each upstairs bedroom. On the top floor is an enclosed fan-cooled room with views over rice fields to Mt Agung. This is the perfect space for yoga and mediation. For longer stays, it makes a great home office or writing room. At additional cost, Wayan will be very happy to organise: - floating breakfast - massage in villa - private yoga in villa - groceries - laundry - scooter hire - pick-up or drop-off to the airport or other accomodation - transport and tours ~ Getting to Villa Tenang ~ Like most villas in Penestanan, Villa Tenang is not directly accessible by car - one of the reasons it's so peaceful. The villa is accessed by a walkway, on foot or by scooter. On check-in, you will be met at the main road, and your bags will be delivered to the villa by scooter. You can choose to be driven down by scooter with your bags, or take the easy 10 minute stroll through the village, passing small ricefields on the way. The team will also arrange to take you and your bags back to the main road when you check-out. If you have your own scooter, parking is available at the front of the villa. Wayan can also arrange scooter hire for you. Guest access You have full private use of the entire villa and pool during your stay. The villa is very private and not overlooked by neighbouring villas. Please note the villa has no car access. Access is by scooter or on foot (10 min walk - 850m - from the car meeting point).
