Fantastic sea views from mountainside getaway

Fisherman's Watch is situated in the beautiful South Peninsula, just a short drive from Cape Town. We are on the mountainside, with magnificent views of the Blue Flag Fish Hoek beach, sea and the majestic mountains. (There are steps - see below) Fully protected from power outages. A modern, compact, self-catering garden flat, with separate entrance. A bedroom, lounge, en-suite bathroom and full kitchen with popular appliances & facilities. Internet via Wi-Fi and DSTV HD satellite television. The space Fisherman's Watch is self-catering - basic starter requisites like washing machine powder, soaps, washing up liquid and even toilet paper are supplied. As we are on the mountainside with a view, please be aware that there are steps onto the property and down to the flat, although they are not too onerous. There are around 34 steps in one grouping with landings and 11 in another, which for someone a little frail or with a disability may be a challenge. The unit is not serviced unless your stay is longer than 7 days, in which case, fresh linen, towels are supplied, the bed is made up and a general sweeping and cleaning is carried out. We are also able to shelter you almost completely from load-shedding. Our solar & battery storage system will make sure you do not lose the Wi-Fi, TV, lights or even appliances such as kettle, microwave, toaster and bathroom hot water when the grid goes down. You will remain protected though all stages. There is a quiet, small, sheltered entertainment area overlooking the sea as well as our mainly indigenous garden. Well away from busy traffic, the quiet peace of the site is only broken by the sound of the waves coming up from the sea below. Access to the beach and catwalk is 10 minutes by foot, 5 mins by car. Guest access You have full private access to the cottage with all its amenities. Other things to note We regret that wheelchair access is not possible. The cottage is located on the side of the mountain with access via a relatively easy double flight of stairs. There is a single security camera covering the main steps down to the house. There are no cameras covering the guest area either internally or externally.
