The space This private log cottage is set in peaceful Icelandic nature by Heytjörn, surrounded by trees and quiet — yet only a short drive from Reykjavík. The cottage is completely private, giving you the feeling of your own little retreat in the countryside. You can relax in your private geothermal hot tub, enjoy the fresh air, and on clear nights watch the Northern Lights above. The setting invites you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the calm of nature. Inside, the cottage is warm and comfortable. The master bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed with a single bed above, making it ideal for couples, families, or small groups. Fresh linens and towels are provided. There is a modern bathroom with a good shower, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, and refrigerator, and a dining area for up to five guests. Heytjörn is a perfect base for exploring Southwest Iceland, with easy access to Reykjavík, Þingvellir, and many of Iceland’s most beautiful sights. This is a place for privacy, relaxation, and experiencing Iceland at your own pace. Please note: parties and events are not allowed. Guest access Guests have full and private access to the entire cottage, including the private hot tub, BBQ area, outdoor space, and parking. The Viking area by the lake is a shared outdoor space between the nearby cottages, but it is open, quiet, and rarely used — perfect for enjoying the view and the peaceful surroundings. Other things to note This is a quiet, nature-focused retreat designed for relaxation, privacy, and enjoying the surroundings. It is not suitable for parties, loud gatherings, or events. The cottage is located in a peaceful rural area, so having a car is recommended for getting around and exploring the region. In winter, weather and road conditions can vary, so we recommend allowing a little extra time when driving and checking local conditions when planning day trips.
