Aichi Prefecture is the birthplace of the three Sengoku warlords: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. That's why I named it SAMURAI HOUSE. I lived in Toronto, Canada, as a student, and I was thinking about starting a business for foreigners coming to Japan in the future. After graduating from college, I got a job at Aichi Prefectural Government, and for the first two years, I worked at the Aichi Expo. The Aichi Expo was a huge success, attracting 25 million visitors, and I found myself thinking, "Tourism is fun!"I thought. The Linear Shinkansen will open in 2027. Tokyo and Nagoya will be connected in 40 minutes, and many people will visit Nagoya. I didn't want to miss out on this opportunity. I quit my job as a civil servant and started running towards my dreams. I have a son who will be eight years old. When traveling with children, business hotels feel cramped and boring. With bicycles, games, DVDs, picture books, toys, and armor... a private home could be a fun place to stay. This is how SAMURAI HOUSE was born.
