Casa Pescador Peniche
Description
This unique fisherman's house in the historic center of Peniche stands directly opposite the large Sâo Pedro Church and is the oldest surviving fisherman's house of its kind. It has been lovingly renovated with a sensitive eye for the well-preserved historical details. Tastefully coordinated modern elements also define the ambiance. A pellet stove, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a TV further enhance comfort. Many small shops and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. The space What makes this property unique is its unique blend of historic architectural style and modern flair. An exposed ceiling beam, for example, originally served as a ship's mast long before the fisherman's house was built. Now it lends its unique atmosphere to the main room, the kitchen. It's also worth mentioning that the stairs to the upper floor, the large dining table, and the kitchen shelves are made from the wood of the discarded church floor of 'Sâo Pedro', across the street from the church, thus telling a story of their own. Other things to note The bathroom is located in a separate courtyard. The courtyard is not visible to the neighbors. To access the bathroom, you pass through the courtyard into a small separate building (see photos). Heating is available! Tourist tax in Peniche: €1 per night (free after 5 nights), per adult aged 13 and over. Collected at check-in. Registration details 112112/AL
