You can get wine and olive oil produced by Podere Cortilla directly from its fattoria. It was affectionately restored over several years, combining old architecture with all the modern comforts. The building has six apartments of various sizes. All apartments are well appointed and comfortably furnished in tuscan style. Each apartment is situated in a separate section of the building, with its own access, offering you undisturbed privacy. A highlight for all guests is the picturesquely located large pool (14m x 7m/46ft x 23ft). You can enjoy a meal on a separate patio which has a large Barbecue. New is a powerful solar power system for our own energy supply on the spacious carport. The amenities: La Torre, the tower, has the access in the courtyard which you can use as a spacious terrace. The flat is 43 m² large and has place for up to 4 persons. It disposes of 3 levels. On the ground floor is the kitchen with a dining corner. A short stair leads to a small living room with a double sofa bed with glassed loop-holes. A half level higher is the bedroom with an orthopaedic double bed and the bathroom. At the garden site you have a view onto the great Tuscan panorama. The furniture is authentic Tuscan. The kitchen consists of massive nut tree and work space out of real granite. There belongs a stove with 4 hot plates, fridge, coffee dispenser, toaster, kettle and hairdryer. There is a central warm water care with heating, satellite-TV, hifi-system with CD player and a washing machine with an iron. L'Angolo is in the south with a lot of sun. The entry area in front of the entry door you can use as a terrace. You can dine and enjoy the sun with seat and lying furniture protected with a hedge. L'Angolo is suitable for wheel chairs and handicapped people. The situation: Podere Cortilla is situated at an altitude of 250 m (820 ft.) on a mountain-side in Era Valley, near the historical etruscan town of Volterra. The surrounding area is one of the most beautiful landscapes of Tuscany with its typical hill formations and characteristic vegetation. The Podere is surrounded by more than 20 ha (50 acres) of nature: forest, meadows, olive groves, vineyards and grain fields. It is an ideal place for quiet holidays in a natural setting. With approx. 11,000 inhabitants Volterra offers a variety of shopping with supermarkets, specialty shops, fashion shops, and restaurants of every category and price class. Famous cities such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano are between 30 and 80 kilometers away, the distance to the Mediterranean is only 40 kilometers. In Tuscany there are no less than 15 golf courses. Other things to note We want to contribute to energy saving.
