Ancient residence with private garden overlooking the gulf

Within the medieval walls of the village of Maranola, a hanging garden overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta, a room carved into the rock, an unforgettable house. 4 km from Formia, a seaside town one hour from Naples and two hours from Rome. Please note: We don't do self check-in because we like to meet guests and show our home in person. For this reason, check-in is only possible in the afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you need different check-in times, please let us know right away. The space The artist's house in Maranola is built close to the ancient walls of the village, equipped with an enchanting hanging garden overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta. This residence hosts the artists of the Seminaria contemporary art festival that takes place every end of August in Maranola. About 70 square meters to comfortably accommodate 4 guests, 40 square meters of garden, a large double bedroom with a view from a porthole on the mountains, a bathroom, kitchen and living room with two sofa beds. From the garden you can access a romantic annex, where a bed built among the rocks is ideal for sleeping in the sunny afternoon or also useful for some passing guests. Casa d'artista also has a small vegetable garden, and every guest is invited to take care of it during their stay and collect its fruits. Thanks to the thick medieval walls of which it is built, the house is cool in summer, while it is warm in winter through a central heating system. Casa d'artista is equipped with wi-fi, refrigerator, oven, heating. Guest access The house is totally independent and completely available for guests' use. Other things to note The house is in the historic center of the village, entirely a pedestrian island and not accessible to cars, which allows the peace and silence that reign in the village. Guests can easily and free of charge leave their car in the main square, which is 100 meters from the house. As an alternative to the square, there is free parking 400 meters away.
