Our unique Guest House is heritage listed and has been lovingly restored to showcase the magnificent high ceilings, leadlights, polished floor boards as well as the modern bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning for guests to enjoy! Allora is the Italian word for affection and fittingly named when the house was built by JD Connolly and offered as a gift from the owner to his future wife as an engagement present. The rooms are quiet, relaxing, and homely—perfect for travellers and business professionals alike. Each bedroom features a flat-screen TV, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a modern ensemble bed accompanied by restored furniture that reflects the house's period. The rooms share access to a well-appointed lounge, dining area, bathroom, laundry, and kitchenette. For added privacy, you can select exclusive use to have the entire space to yourself. The lounge/dining area includes a chaise lounge, lounge suite, full-size SMART TV and sound system, coffee table, and dining table with four chairs. From here, you can step onto the wide veranda that opens into a sheltered garden—perfect for unwinding and enjoying the seasons. We take pride in the heritage furniture sourced from the Goldfields and our Australian-made, sustainably produced linen. We offer free Wi-Fi, local maps, and tourism information to make your stay more comfortable. We love greeting our guests and sharing insights about the heritage, dining options, activities, and the wider region. Allora House is conveniently located just two blocks from the main street, one block from the railway station, and a short walk from various restaurants. It’s a peaceful retreat where you can immerse yourself in history. Please note that breakfast is not provided. However, the modern kitchenette has a microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, cutlery, crockery, full-size fridge, and more. A supermarket is just a block away for your convenience, and tasty cafes and restaurants are close by. Our heritage-listed Guest House has been lovingly restored - all for your enjoyment. The garden door enters the lounge dining area through lockable security sliding door. The guests are provided the key to their room and the garden door. We have parking on-site and on the street. Allora house provides guests with safe, secure off-street parking, shared laundry, kitchenette, dining areas, lounge, and outdoor garden entertainment areas. As guests check in, let us know the arrival time so we can meet you. As guests check out, please lock your room and leave the keys in the return key box provided. Other things to note We cannot accommodate extra guests at Allora House. Unfortunately, we do not provide roll-out beds, cots, or single beds.
