The space The views are magnificent, take a stroll first thing in the morning with a cup of tea, in your dressing gown if you wish to appreciate the tranquillity. Have a BBQ on the lakeside. When the lake is calm, it looks like a millpond reflecting the fells and sky, Swan's visit the cruiser we have moored on the lake, or walk further along our private lakeshore. There is a large cream leather corner suite and footrest in the lounge, coffee table and TV. The kitchen is open plan with a breakfast bar, full-size electric oven and gas hob with fully equipped kitchen utensils. There is a separate toilet with a hand wash basin The double bedroom/bath/shower has ample wardrobe space and vanity unit. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the whole of the garden from the apartment down to the lake. You are welcome to fish or swim from the jetty. Take care if you are swimming to make sure anyone else using the lake can see you. The apartment is self-contained. Bed Linen and Towels provided. Other things to note Depending on when you visit, there are several agricultural shows and carriage driving at Lowther Park owned by the Lowther family (The Yellow Earl-Lonsdale Belt for boxing) The barracks that housed his private army are now picturesque cottages. The castle has recently been renovated, you can stop for a coffee, browse in the courtyard souvenir shops, take a walk in the Japanese garden or a woodland walk. The famous Appleby fair when all the travelling people gather together for their holidays and wash their horses in the river ready for sale, race the trotting horses, everyone dresses in their Sunday best colourful quite spectacular. The Lake Theatre at Keswick 18 miles. Cinema Penrith 6 miles. Pony Trekking 3 miles. Music festival Lowther . Paddle boats can be hired at the hotel "Another Place" next door.
