The space Trebinshwn Cottage is on a quiet country lane on the Three Rivers Ride route, with views to the Allt yr Esgair at the front and across the Llangorse Valley over to Myndd Llangorse and Mynydd Troed from the garden. Within easy reach are Brecon (8 miles), Crickhowell (9 miles), Abergavenny (13 miles) and Hay on Wye (15 miles), where you can spend time wandering the shops and sampling some local fare and visiting historic sites. The cottage is located between the Black Mountains (Pen Trumau, Waun Fach) and the Beacons (Pen y Fan, Pen y Big and Cribyn) and provides easy access to both mountain ranges. The nearest Pub 3 miles, shop 2 miles. Tesco and Asda Deliver. The cottage is a combination of original features with beams and contemporary fixtures and fittings. The newly renovated kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and a coffee maker. The adjoining dining area has an extendable dining table and chairs. Central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, logs for wood burner are included. There is a utility room with sink, washing machine, freezer and room to dry clothes and store boots, with the back door leading to the garden. At this end of the cottage is the downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath, wash hand basin and wc. The downstairs bedroom with a double bed has level access to the bathroom and all living areas. The sitting room has sofas set around the large inglenook fireplace with the great wooden lintel above the wood burning stove and patio doors leading out to the garden. TV with Free Sat and Internet/Wifi and DVD player. Up a couple of steps is the heated, full-width conservatory with sofas, table and chairs, it has stunning views of the garden and hills. You can watch the resident birdlife including nuthatches, woodpeckers, red kites and blue tits. Up the original stone stairs – now thickly carpeted, to three bedrooms (one large double and 2 singles) and a shower room with a shower, wash hand basin and wc. The sheltered garden behind the cottage is pretty with a large flowering cherry tree and lawns – there is garden furniture, a BBQ and off- road parking. Storage in the lockable garage and a hose for washing down bikes. The Allt and Buckland Wood offer nearby walking and cycling locations and Llangorse Lake and Activity Centre is a 3.5-mile drive away, offering water sports including fishing and sailing, with Cantref Adventure Farm close by too. Bwlch is home to four circular walks ‘Bwlch With Altitude, Fortitude, Magnitude and Solitude’. The area has plenty of history and heritage and during days out guests can explore castles, medieval mansions, Roman remains and standing stones. The cottage is well-placed to attend events e.g. The Brecon County Show, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Green man Festival and The Hay Festival.
