Escape and get cosy in this nordic style guest annex with spectacular views over the rolling Dorset countryside. Rustic features combined with luxury touches and a free standing tin bath to relax in after a long day exploring the Jurassic Coast . Enjoy this quiet comfortable and relaxing retreat perfect for couples , singles or two friends and for those celebrating special occasions. Unsuitable for babies and children . The space The Hayloft is a comfortable and recently renovated stable conversion guest annex situated at the far end and part of the main house Grand View Farm . Guests have their own access track and parking in front of the house. Wooden decking steps lead up from the car parking area to the Hayloft which has its own private entrance and area of decking. Relax and enjoy the breath taking uninterrupted views, watch buzzards fly by and spot the occasional deer or fox in our meadow below. Sleeps maximum two people. The loft bedroom is triple aspect with the most beautiful views of the sounding countryside, a king size bed with Emma memory foam mattress and the comfiest pure French linen bedding. A single daybed is situated under the window perfect to either sit and read or just take in the view can be made up on request if friends sharing . Unwind after your day and enjoy a relaxing soak in the fabulous William Holland roll top tin bath which nestles under the eves. A rustic style bathroom with walk in shower downstairs Fluffy bath robes and complementary Bramley toiletries. Kitchenette with two ring hob, mini oven, toaster, fridge with ice compartment, kettle, filter coffee and Nespresso mashine plus all utensils needed for guests to prepare your own leisurely breakfast. Tea , coffee and local organic milk provided. Enjoy curling up on the comfortable corner sofa with soft throws and snuggly sheepskins. Smart TV with Netflix , local interest books, maps, games and Roberts DAB radio/ speaker for ipod/iphone . Enjoy dining out with easy travelling distance to the many good local restaurants including River Cottage and River Cottage Canteen, Hix Oyster and Fish House and The Anchor Inn at Seatown. Grand View Farm backs onto the National Trust Golden Cap Estate and the South West Jurassic Coast Path with miles and miles of stunning tracks and bridleways to enjoy on your door step. Ideal for a special occasion celebration break or just to get away re charge and experience beautiful West Dorset. For special occasion celebration stays such as mini moons , anniversaries and special birthdays Nicky is very happy to help you arrange for a surprise or something special to be waiting for you on your arrival - please request when booking (charges may apply). Guest access Free access around the property and its fields plus shared use of the sunny paddock garden and hammock. Use of BBQ , washing line and under cover seating area . Other things to note Please note that due to the steps The Hayloft may not suitable for those with restricted mobility. The property is designed to sleeps two adults . To ensure our guests comfort and safety we feel the property due to its size and layout is not suitable for babies or small children . The shower room is accessed through the original small door into what was the lambing barn and is low. Signs are up to remind you to "DUCK" when going through. The Hayloft is an annex and part of the main house. There is a locked interconnecting door downstairs which has been additionally sound insulated for guest privacy. Strictly non smoking in and around the property due to large amount of timber etc. Although the main road in the village is approximately 10 minutes walk from the property and cannot be seen, some distant traffic noise can be heard when sitting on the deck. Regret no guest dogs due to livestock. We do have our own friendly wire haired vizla called Ralph who will be around and about.
