Description
Lovely location to get away from it all on the edge of Exmoor, woodland walks to the Barle river straight out of the door with deer often passing through fields next door. The space In an area of outstanding beauty, has a wooded valley with a river running through within 5 minutes of the cottage door. The open moors are also close by and its only 1 mile to Dulverton which is a charming little town with plenty of pubs and restaurants. The lodge itself is a 2 bedroom cottage at the entrance to Northmoor House. There is an open fire in the sitting room with logs available from the shed in the garden. It is well equipped for 5 guests with all you need for a self catering stay. The bathroom (and toilet) are downstairs something to bear in mind for less agile guests. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher, please note this now replaces the washing machine in the photos. If you do need to do laundry while you are here that can be arranged with me. Space to park 2 cars and a large garden with seating for exclusive use to the guests. I live on the site and am available to answer any questions or give you some pointers on where to go in the surrounding area. In a rural and private location but with the convenience of a town just a mile away. Not very good public transport, would advise coming by car. Wild red deer often in the park above the lodge. Guest access You will have access to the whole of the lodge and its garden and free to walk in the grounds of the estate as long as the privacy of other guests and residents is respected. Other things to note Dogs are welcome at an extra charge of £20 each.
