Room #3, Naramata Mountain Retreat

Relax at this quiet mountainside getaway above the Naramata Bench. Awaken to breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake. Watch birds play, deer forage, & wild big-horn sheep wander as you sit outside with a glass of wine, the sun setting behind the mountains across the lake. You are currently looking at Room #3. The space The house is located in a quiet, rural, park-like setting that overlooks Okanagan Lake on the Naramata Bench in beautiful British Columbia. If you are looking for peace and tranquility or a place to inspire creativity, you have found it. When you choose to be active, civilization is not far away. The restaurants and beaches of downtown Penticton are a 15 minute drive away. Wineries on the Naramata Bench can be reached in just five minutes. Room 3 is a large, brightly-lit room with shelving, a work desk, and a bar fridge. It has a comfortable hybrid coil/memory foam queen sized mattress. Please note, it doesn't have natural light coming in. For those who prefer a blacked out room for sleeping and who spend their days outside at our beaches, wineries, and mountain trails, this room is perfect. For example, an Ironman athlete lived in this room for a month while training. After watching the sun set, sit back and enjoy the night lights of Penticton and Summerland. Or lie back and star gaze because we are high enough to avoid much of the street light infiltration from the city. Our Falconridge mountainside retreat is situated on a wildlife migration corridor. Animals that regularly appear on the property include deer, big-horn sheep, marmots, humming birds, frogs, packrats, blue-tailed skinks, and chipmunks. Bears also visit, so please don't leave food or garbage outside. A large bathroom with jet tub & steam shower is shared with guests in the two other rooms. If you arrive at night, keep your phone handy to use as a light because the pathways are not brightly lit. This helps us to avoid excessive light Guest access You will need a car to get here and to get around. Please do not come up the driveway with your vehicle. There is plenty of free parking on the empty cul de sac at the bottom of the property. It is a dead end road and we are the only property on it. During your stay I leave my guests alone so they can enjoy peace and privacy. If you need anything, just message me through the Air BnB app and I will respond as quickly as I can. Other things to note 1. The house is located on the side of a mountain and there is a sharp drop off at the edge of the garden area. There is no fencing, so please be careful and use common sense, especially at night. 2. Guests are not permitted to leave the garden area. If you go out of bounds, it is at your own risk with no liability accepted by the host. Climbing down the mountain is dangerous and not permitted. 3. No smoking, vaping or use of similar products is permitted anywhere on the property. This rule is strict. If it is broken, you may asked to leave immediately. 4. Don’t feed any of the wild animals. That's how we keep them wild. 5. Keep the windows closed. It’s the only way the central air conditioning can do its job and keep you cool in the summer. 6.
