Description

We are a North Shropshire farm with a flock of 100 pedigree Llanwenog sheep. We also have stabling and paddocks for up to 12 horses for our DIY livery yard. This is a very rural area with many small family farms Please note that we can’t accommodate 5 plus an infant, as well, it might be a squash if there are 5 adults The space English Frankton is an ancient village listed in the Doomsday book. It is only a half hour drive from the medieval city of Shrewsbury which provides visitors with a host of places to visit such as the Castle, the Abbey (extensively described by Ellis Peters in her fictional books on Cadfael, the detective monk), as well as shops and restaurants. The Shropshire canal nearby in Ellesmere provides walking and day boat hire or why not hire a bike from Mere cycles and explore the surrounding countryside and the canal tow paths. If you fancy something more strenuous why not climb Wales' highest peak, Snowdon, which is only a 2 hour drive away or go south into the Shropshire hills and the Long Mynd or even white water raft down the Dee river in Llangollen. Then of course there is the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, the longest canal aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest canal aqueduct in the world. In short there are a whole host of activities to do in this beautiful part of England. Guest access You have your own private garden and lawned area as well as a veranda overlooking the yard. Other things to note Not suitable for 5 adults as there is limited seating in the sitting room. We do ask you respect our privacy as we will yours particularly when it comes to our farm buildings which can be dangerous places at certain times of the year, particularly where children are involved. Because it is a DIY livery yard we do ask that you don't approach the horses unless the owners are happy for you to do so. Horses can kick and bite.
