Sa Domu de sa Contissa (The House of the Countess)

"Sa Domu de sa Contissa" is a multipurpose cultural center dedicated to the dissemination and enhancement of Sardinian culture. The space The property is a majestic "courtyard house", a traditional building type in Sardinia, characterized by buildings overlooking a large internal courtyard. This particularly impressive structure is built in limestone typical of the area and restored according to the principles of green building, preserving traditional elements such as wooden ceilings, exposed stones, traditional bricks and hand-painted ceramics, which give the rooms a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The main portal leads to a large garden, dominated by the central nucleus of the house, still the home of the owner. To the left of the entrance driveway, a building previously used as a storage room has been transformed into a multipurpose room, ideal as a living room, library, meeting room, or to host cultural events and physical activities such as yoga and pilates. Continuing, you enter the side courtyard, where there are other facilities dedicated to hospitality and cultural activities. On the left, a rustic kitchen also serves as a cellar and pantry, while in front, a large porch, once a "lolla dei buoi", now houses a traditional oven and a large barbecue, perfect for outdoor events during the summer. In the side courtyard, beyond the "lolla", there is a synergistic vegetable garden that has replaced an old collapsed barn. On the right, the former home of the "su sozzu", the director of agricultural works, has been partially renovated to accommodate rooms dedicated to hospitality. Guest access Guests will have a spacious room with a separate entrance from the garden. The walls of the room are a pleasant color, varying between two shades of pink and a soft periwinkle color. Outside the room, and exclusively for your use, there is a wicker lounge for outdoor relaxation. Breakfast will be served in the kitchen of the residence located in the main building of the complex.
