Rural Romantic Retreat At Sgubor Fach

A stone barn converted to a high standard semi-detached dormer bungalow, in the grounds of the owners home on a working farm which also includes a Shepherd's Hut, 6 miles from Dolgellau, 13 miles from Bala ,14 miles from Barmouth. The barn has been refurbished and is a delightful self-catering holiday cottage situated in a peaceful location overlooking Welsh countryside with stunning views from each angle to include the Aran Fawddwy, Aran Benllyn, Rhobell Fawr and Cader Idris mountains. The space Sgubor Fach is just a short drive away from Dolgellau and Bala, North Wales; popular with water sports enthusiasts, walkers and cyclists. It provides comfortable accommodation, boasts underfloor heating from ground source and is characterful and has a fully equipped modern kitchen. Take a leisurely walk from the cottage to explore the countryside or relax in style in the hot tub or on the patio area whilst admiring the amazing scenery, the Red Kites above; Herons in the nearby fields or a sky full of stars in the evening. If you feel like an adventure or two, Coed y Brenin's world renowned mountain biking centre and the Zip World is not too far and there are endless walks ranging from the coastal path to the surrounding mountains of the Berwyn, Y Gader and Snowdonia. It's also perfect for water sports enthusiasts because Bala is one of the main water sports centre's in Wales. The property consists of a beautiful open plan living, kitchen and dining area. The lounge area offers comfortable corner/L shaped seating along with a Smart TV. The dining table seats 4 guests comfortably. The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Cookery books/magazines are available. A doorway leads through to the hall which leads off to the king bedroom and a separate bathroom which includes a shower and separate bath. An inviting king bed along with a dressing table, double wardrobe and bed side tables. This room also includes a sofa bed suitable for young children. There is also an outside tap for washing your bikes, shoes etc. The patio has a garden table/bench and a hot tub for you to relax and admire these wonderful surroundings all day long. Waxing and nail treatments are also offered. Guest access Guests more or less have the space of Sgubor Fach privately to themselves but as there are no definitive borders outlining the border between Sgubor Fach, Beudy Singrig on the back of the property and Cwt y Bugail (Shepherd's Hut) we kindly ask that the back of the property is private to the owners. There is a stone wall and fence outlining the border on the front. The gable end of the property which has the hot tub situated on it is solely for the private use of the guests at Sgubor Fach. Cwt y Bugail which is situated to the side of Sgubor Fach has it's own private hot tub. We will be entering the patio area to check and maintain the hot tub on a daily basis. We will also be entering the garden to the side of Sgubor Fach as this is a lawn, fruit and veg patch and herb garden and therefore it will need to be maintained. Guests are welcome to use the garden as they wish. Other things to note A welcome hamper with local goodies will be provided for each booking. Tea, coffee and sugar will also be provided. If you wish to add a bottle of wine, chocolates or flowers on arrival, this can be arranged at an additional fee. Cwt y Bugail (Shepherd's Hut) is situated to the side of the gable end of Sgubor Fach.
