Kables Retreat

Spoil yourself and enjoy a luxe escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Our unique sandstone lodge, located in 30 acres of bushland is surrounded by a national park, rivers and wildlife. We provide comfortable, quality accommodation for friends, families and couples as well as larger gatherings using one or all three of our facilities. The main house can sleep 14, apartment 4 & studio up to 6 people. There is also a pool onsite, landscaped gardens and a billiard table. The space The main house and apartment was constructed by a local master stonemason over many years. Sandstone blocks, timbers and trusses, windows and other architectural elements have been salvaged from churches, obsolete tramways, old jails and other locations around Australia to create a truly awe inspiring experience from the moment you step into the house..... Each room has something beautiful to look at whether it be the architectural elements or the eclectic furniture, art and sculptures. The orientation of the house is positioned on a gently sloping mountain side with a view down to the river, gardens below and surrounding mountains around. There is also a large verandah around the whole of the main house to enjoy alfresco eating by the pool or just to take in the beautiful view. The main lodge has a completely decked out kitchen with every utensil you can imagine for the chef at heart! The apartment and studio offer a microwave/oven/grill, electric induction cooktop and of course all three properties offer an external bbq for your use. The property can be enjoyed over all seasons. Our gardens have won awards, the pool is perfect for lazy Summer days, the extremely grand fireplace in the main house is a perfect Winter getaway eating cheese and sipping red wine.
