Ted’s Hut Nestling at the highest point of our front hayfield and offering breathtaking views across the rural Mendips to Glastonbury Tor (and way beyond), you will find Ted’s Hut which is secluded away, the hut is officially rated as 5-Star Glamping by Visit England, we offer you real luxury with everything included. The space We aim to provide you with almost everything you should need for a stay here in Ted’s Hut. We will provide you with fine Egyptian cotton bed linen for your stay; we have even provided you with a simple dry larder supply that includes West Country Teabags, coffee, sugar and sometimes even a pint of milk ready in the fridge for your arrival. If you feel like lighting Ted’s wood-burning stove (or fire pit), you need not worry about wood, kindling or fire starters. They are included too! So there’s no need to purchase these from a roadside garage late at night. Stepping into the bathroom for the first time you will also find large fluffy towels, shower gel, and toilet tissue. Everything one needs to make the stay perfectly perfect is provided as standard. ELECTRIC VEHICLES STAYING AT TEDS HUT If you own a ‘Granny’ cable you’ll be able to charge your vehicle on-site, as a standard 3-pin electric socket is located next to the car parking space for Ted. there is a cost of £25 per overnight charge, this needs to be arranged and paid for in advance of your arrival. Other things to note HYBRID ECO POWER ALL YEAR ROUND Ted’s electrics are powered by the hybrid solar panels installed on the roof. This provides plenty of power for the indoor and outdoor lighting as well as the USB power points, even during the winter. So you can rest assured that your smartphone, tablet or ebook reader can be charged (using the wall-mounted USB sockets). This does, however, mean that there are no 3-pin plug sockets within the hut for devices that require more power, offering you a real retreat from the modern world. Because Ted is powered by hybrid solar, he stays warm and cosy all year round with an energy-efficient electric radiator and heated towel rail.
