Blackheath Sunny Elevated Studio - A Bower Above

Located just around the corner from The Grand Canyon Loop Walk, Cliff Top Walk and Walls Cave and close to Bridal Veil Falls, A Bower Above is a delightful spot for two. Quiet and on the edge of town, this property with it’s main house and two private accommodations, is an acre and a quarter and was originally farmland and the produce store for Blackheath. Away from the hustle and bustle, but only five minutes to town, it's a place to help you rest, explore and reconnect. The space Our house and this separate studio apartment are situated on an acre and a quarter. The property itself is bounded on two sides by The Blue Mountains National Park with a five and three acre properties either side. It is quiet and peaceful. The French doors of A Bower Above open onto a large deck with a Weber BBQ and from every window you can enjoy treetop views and diverse birdlife. We border the Blue Mountains National Park and it’s a short walk to the escarpment views along our back track. A Bower Above is a sunlit, private studio, perfect for a couple’s escape or a single person wanting a quiet, nature filled retreat and you can relax in the deep, double spa after exploring The Blue Mountains sights or walking The Grand Canyon Track. Architecturally designed with passive solar principles in mind it is well insulated and you'll enjoy sunrise to sunset warmth with its northerly aspect. A gas log, slow combustion style fire will keep you beautifully warm in the cool of the evenings or when it snows occasionally in the winter. Air conditioning will keep you cool in the summer and we have doubled our solar panels to accommodate this use. There's also a well equipped kitchenette with polished, timber bench tops * bar fridge * double bench top induction elements * stainless steel electric fry pan for baking * small microwave / convection oven * toaster * good selection of quality saucepans and cookware * rice cooker * Aarke carbonated water maker We stock pantry items so that you don't have to... Olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper grinders etc, coffee, selection of teas, hot chocolate etc. In the bathroom you’ll find shampoo, conditioner and body wash. On the under cover deck is a Weber BBQ with a basket of bbq supplies. We border the Blue Mountains National Park so we care deeply about the environment and our guests enjoyment. Our property is solar powered but grid connected (and carbon neutral), and has onsite water recycling so you don’t have to feel guilty about lying in the deep, warm double spa. All water is recycled through an envirocycle system and is used to water our orchard. For our own and your health we also use only non-toxic non allergenic products to clean - steam, alcohol, eucalyptus and fresh air (we'll ask you to open doors and windows upon check out. We take the utmost care following a strict COVID sanitising, laundering and dishwashing regime. And all natural products are provided in the bathroom and kitchen. Other things to note There is a minimum two night booking requirement on weekends however one night stays midweek are fine. Three night requirement for Public Holiday Long weekends and four nights for Easter. Also when booking our much cheaper seven day stay, we cannot accept a Saturday to Saturday booking as then it spans two weekend stays. Registration details Exempt
