Casa Colventoso – home on a hill with unforgettable views The house is in a unique location with unforgettable panoramas, and offers all comforts one may need. The space The house is located right outside the village of Gualdo Cattaneo in the very heart of Umbria, Italy. The village goes back to 975 and has a medieval aspect. A bakery, post office, ATM machine, a bar and a wine bar are in the village at 650 m distance from the house. The village is not far from all Umbrian main sites like Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Orvieto, Foligno, Spello, Bevagna and Montefalco. The area is well known for its famous Sagrantino wine and within a few minutes driving distance one can visit numerous wineries. The area features plenty of very good restaurants. Below the village in the valley and in the neighbour village there are many supermarkets and shops. A pharmacy is at 5 km, the next hospital at 25 km. The house was built in 2010 and is of modern aspect, its architecture though is referring to the old Umbrian farm houses. On 150 square metres, it features kitchen and living room, three ensuite bedrooms: the very large master bedroom is on the upper floor and has a bathroom with a bathtub, the other two bedrooms are on the ground floor and have bathrooms with shower. A huge terrace is on front of the house with tables, chairs and cushions, another one is on the basement floor and offers shelter on colder and windy days. There is enough space to park three cars. A utility room on the basement floor has a washing machine and washing liquid free for guest's use. The olive grove above the house belongs to the owners. All bedrooms have two sets of bed linen in the wardrobe, there are plenty of towels, hand washing soap and toilet paper are there. The neighbour at the other side hosts a private zoo with small animals, camels and zebras and can be visited. The bedrooms on the ground floor have a writing desk each while the master on the upper floor has a small sitting area as well as a separate small terrace on the back of the house. The living room has a sitting area with sofa and armchairs and a dining table which sits up to eight people. TV with Italian and German and some international channels is there, too, as well as some table games. Wifi router available for payment. There is a pellet stove in the living room for colder periods. Pellets are provided. There is no air condition since the house is extra insulated and for the colder period, the heating is an under floor-heating. The kitchen is well provided with everything one may need in a kitchen: fridge, dish washer, stove, water kettle, espresso and ordinary coffee machine, toaster, waffle maker, kitchen machine, cutlery, plates and everything else is plenty. Essential things like water, salt, pepper, pasta are their upon your arrival. The house and the property, together with the neighbouring house, are fenced in and an electric gate gives access. Keys will be provided. The owner is always available and will give you all the indications you may need. There is a booklet in the house with explanations for all appliances and some tourist information. Just come, move in and relax!
