The Garden Retreat is in the hamlet of Gawthrop, half a mile from the cobbled village of Dent in The Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy access to Windermere & The Lake District. The space It is set within the garden of Ellerbank with spectacular views both up and down the dale. The Retreat has been modernised to the highest standards. There is a spacious sitting room (7 x 4metres) with French doors, a log burning stove, smart television, a three seater sofa and plenty of floor cushions. There is excellent broadband and a quality bluetooth music system that can be used with a smart phone. There are also yoga mats and blankets for those who wish. Gawthrop is a fifteen minute walk either through fields or along the River Dee to Dent where there are two pubs, cafes, a village store, The Heritage Centre and a Meditation Centre. 'The kitchen is designed to be modern and minimal with a two ring ceramic hob, an oven/grill/microwave and a Remoska – an all in one cooking pot. The upstairs bedroom has been converted from an old hayloft and has roof lights, a glazed door and a kingsize bed. The shower room is tiled in traditional Kirkstone slate. The outdoor seating with a spectacular view is available for guest use. The washing machine & tumble dryer are in a stone outbuilding at the other end of the garden, available to use without additional charge & use of the washing machine & tumble dryer are shared with the owner.
