L'Orangerie, cottage with salt-heated pool

Nestled in the heart of Deux-Sèvres, L’Orangerie welcomes you to a characterful property dating back to 1860, lovingly passed down through generations. Surrounded by a magnificent 7-hectare park with centuries-old trees, it offers a true haven of peace, ideal for unwinding. Completely renovated, L’Orangerie elegantly combines old-world charm with modern comforts, for a stay that is as authentic as it is enjoyable. We look forward to having you! The space Our house is a former orangery, located on a property dating back to 1860, which has remained in the family since it was built. Some presentation details: L’Orangerie has a surface area of 220 m². On the ground floor you will find: * A kitchen equipped with the following: fridge/freezer, 4-burner (gas) stove, microwave, dishwasher, and all the necessary kitchenware, as well as a basic selection of groceries. * Restroom * Living room with an open fireplace, a game table for lively card games (game closet available), and a TV. * Large games room with a glass wall, where you can play foosball, have a drink in the armchairs, or play a game of cards at the table. On the 2nd floor, you will find a landing that leads to: * “Victoire's Bedroom” with a 180 × 200 cm bed * “Axelle’s Bedroom” with a 90 × 200 cm single bed and a crib * “The master bedroom” with a 140 × 200 bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower * “The Cousins’ Room” with 4 single beds (90 × 200 cm), a school desk, a mini pool table, and a well-stocked library with current reading material * Separate toilet * Bathroom with two sinks and a bathtub Linens and towels are provided. Outside: Large, unfenced garden, located in front of the orangery, with its small courtyard and green roof. Weber barbecue available (charcoal not included). Ping pong table. Enclosed pool area (under your full responsibility for the duration of the stay). The pool is for private use and accessible from early May to October 15th. Heated saltwater pool. There are 9 deck chairs available, as well as a small pool house area where you can change. Guest access What would a country house be without a garden worthy of the name? You have a garden and terrace in front of the Orangery, to enjoy the barbecue during your sunny meals. The pool (10.5 meters long, 4.5 meters wide and 1.90 m deep at its deepest) is located just behind the Orangery, in a former vegetable garden. This detail is important, because the garden was designed to enjoy the sun from 9am to 9pm in summer and the old greenhouse was converted into a Pool House. All you have to do is choose where to have your aperitif! We also provide you with a ping-pong table and a barbecue for your grilled meats. These spaces are dedicated to your sole use. The castle park is reserved for us, but you can walk there. NB: the pool is open from May until mid-October.
