Panoramic Mountain View Jamuna's Place (Room No.2)

If you’re looking for somewhere to escape from the hustle and bustle of the tourist side of Kathmandu then my home is the place for you! I live in a residential area of Kathmandu and my home, being built to modern specifications, is earthquake proof. The space A relaxing place to stay where you can unwind and enjoy the real Kathmandu. Jamuna’s place is in a residential part of Kathmandu, built to withstand earthquakes, it was not damaged in the recent earthquakes of 2015. The room is large and bright with windows on 3 sides and a balcony. Clean linen is provided including towels. The bathroom is opposite and is shared with room 2, although there is another bathroom downstairs for guests to use too. In addition, outside the bedroom is a large roof terrace in full sun, above this is another roof terrace for guest use and for drying laundry, from here the Himalayas can be seen on a clear day. Guests have full use of the downstairs garden and the garden swing seat. Guests have full use of the open plan living and dining room and can prepare snacks in the kitchen. A simple breakfast of bananas, porridge/muesli, eggs, toast and tea/coffee can be taken on the sun terrace in good weather with minimum charges. Evening meals of traditional Nepalese food is also available on request including fresh vegetables from the garden, this is 5Euro per night per person. I have a washing machine and it costs Euro2 per load to cover costs. Books are available to read, exchange etc. and wifi is provided throughout the house. I can arrange transfers to and from the airport, price available on request, and will provide you with a local map and information to make sure that you get the most out of your stay. Guest access The house is approached from the road through a full height gate. I will give you my contact details and instructions of how to find the house when you book. During your stay I have traveled in Europe and Asia and love to meet people from around the world. I speak Nepali, Newari, Hindi and fluent English and am always happy to chat with guests but also appreciate that you may want to come here for a quiet time. I will provide you with my own map of interesting places as well as written details of where I live so that you can hand this to bus and taxi drivers etc. I will advise about buses and how to get to places on foot – Kathmandu is not too big so walking is always an option. I will share with you my inside knowledge so that you can enjoy Kathmandu as a local! I have experience of providing Nepali conversation classes to Europeans and Americans and this can be arranged if you would like to learn some simple but useful phrases for during your stay. Other things to note As the rooms are on the 2nd floor of the house and there is no lift it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
