House in a medieval hamlet surrounded by woods

Castello Ginori di Querceto is a secluded and ancient village in Tuscany, not far from the Etruscan town of Volterra, surrounded by woods and typical Mediterranean scrub. This delightful “borgo” is ideal for a peaceful and restful holiday and for all those who love nature. Beautiful and world known sites as Siena, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Massa Marittima, Bolgheri are within driving distance, as other less known but equally charming villages; the seaside is only a 20 minutes away . The space This is a 2-storey townhouse with air conditioning. On the first floor: cozy living room with cooking area (4 electric cookers, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave) and one spacious bedroom with bathroom ensuite. On the second floor: 1 double bedroom with view on the woods and 1 twin bedroom with stunning view on the hamlet. Each bedroom has bathroom ensuite with shower. In the kitchen you won't find oil and spices but we are at your disposal with info on the closest shops or with first grocery service. Guest access - Our guests can relax around a beautiful swimming-pool (18mtx6mt) surrounded by olive trees with stunning view on the valley. It's 5 minutes walking distance from the apartments and it can be reached by car too. The pool is open from June till September; for the exact opening day please contact us. -You can't miss the visit of our cellar and the tasting of our wines “Marchesi Ginori Lisci”. -Free Wi-Fi in the apartments and in common areas. -In the village you will find a Restaurant, "Locanda del Sole", where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. -A laundry room is at disposal of our guests. -The nearest village, Ponteginori, with shops, backery, pharmacy and bank is 7 km away. Other things to note If you come to Querceto you can't miss the visit of our cellar and the tasting of our wines “Marchesi Ginori Lisci”. The visit is conducted by one of the members of our company and includes: visit to the village; visit to the vinification cellar; visit to the antique ageing cellars.
