The Mary Heather offers a unique opportunity to stay in an 35 year old Rotherclass life boat on the shores of Cuan Sound. Situated on Argyll’s rugged coastline, this is the ideal location for kayakers, walkers and those wishing to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The Mary Heather is nestled into the bay along with the Alexandra lifeboat and our Sea cave, all part of our small campground facilities here at Cuan Ferry. The space The Mary Heather has 6 berths, each with a reading light, charger point. *We do not provide linen*. However if requested we can provide a sleeping bag with liner, pillow and towel for an additional charge of £7/p/two nights. The Saloon has a central table with seating,galley has a 4 ring hob, grill, oven,microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge and a small sink with cold running water. Crockery, pans and cutlery are all provided. The covered area at the entrance to the lifeboat provides an outdoor sitting and drying area.The dedicated toilet, shower, scullery and drying facilities are situated in our uniquely designed timber cove approximately 30 metres from the lifeboat, YOU Now HAVE SOLE OCCUPANCY OF your dedicated SHOWER AND TOILET FACILITY. Guest access The Mary Heather is situated on the edge of Cuan Sound, as part of the facilities provided here at the Argyll Kayaker Cove. The Cove offers access to the rugged Argyllshire coastline with stunning views and opportunities for exploration. As a designated marine area of scientific interest, there is an abundance of wildlife and nature to be enjoyed, from seals and dolphins to otters and sea eagles! Feel free to go through the gate and walk the coast in the direction of the pillon. Other things to note The minimum charge for a night in The Mary Heather is £60 For upto two people. Additional guests are £20 per person, per night. We do not provide linen just pillows with cover. If required we can provide a sleeping bag with liner and a towel for £5/ person to cover laundering costs. We readily accept pets but now charge £5/ night to cover additional cleaning
