Capannino has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, private covered terrace and garden. You'll enjoy a true local stone house with modern facilities and antique family furniture, situated in a large private property with its own old mill and surrounded by beautiful olive trees. The space On the rolling hills of the Gallo Nero region, in the heart of Chianti, between Radda, Castellina and Vagliagli lies Podere Pornanino, an estate surrounded by 36 hectares of olive groves, wooded hills and two small rivers. The main farm house and the two stone barns, Capannino and Leccino, have been restored and refurbished to excellent standards all with the same warm and welcoming style. Capannino has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, covered terrace and private garden. Entering the cottage, you will appreciate a large bright living room with a large dining area and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. An arched glass French-door opens onto the covered terrace where you can enjoy al fresco dining. From the living room there is a corridor leading to the two double bedrooms which are one above the other (note that the upper bedroom has no door but remains very private as the interior of the bedroom is not visible, the upper room can also be made into twin beds); a studio; two bathrooms (one with bath and wall mounted shower and a smaller one with shower) The terrace is equipped with table and chairs for outside dining and deckchairs for relaxing in the garden. The house has its own central heating system, mosquito nets on the windows, safe, satellite TV, DVD player, high speed internet connection / Wi-Fi, hairdryer, dishwasher, and stereo with CD player. You will enjoy a real stone house with modern equipment and antique family furniture, set in a large private property with its own old olive mill and surrounded by beautiful olive trees. A very well maintained garden surrounds the houses. Nearby you will find the swimming pool (6 x 12 m) with spacious solarium terrace furnished with deckchairs and parasols. The swimming pool is open from mid-May until the end of September and is shared by the tenants of the cottages and occasionally by our family. There is a separate utility room with washing machine for the exclusive use of the accommodations. Pornanino is accessible by 5 km of very well maintained unpaved road (strada bianca). The medieval town of Castellina in Chianti with an excellent choice of restaurants, canteens, coffee bars, Coop supermarket, post office, banks and a variety of other shops is 5km away, Florence 32kms and Siena 18km. San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Arezzo, Cortona and many other attractive towns are easily accessible by car. The property is 9 km from Radda in Chianti, another beautiful medieval hilltop town with its cobbled streets and also a good choice of restaurants and shops. In June, July and August we only accept weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Local tourist tax is not included and will be charged on arrival. Heating costs are not included and are calculated separately according to consumption. Guest access The cottage is exclusively reserved for you as well as the external garden so to guarantee you total privacy. Other things to note Once at Pornanino you can either fully relax or plan to visit the many beautiful attractions in the area. I'm always at disposal to help you plan your daily itineraries and give you some suggestions. We invite all our guests to visit the old olive mill and taste our delicious Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
