Modern Architecturally Designed Studio. Light sunny and clean. A great hotel alternative, with your own entrance onto small courtyard garden and situated next to a lovely native reserve. This studio is ideal for couples or friends who want a beautifully appointed, relaxing place as a base while exploring Grey Lynn, Ponsonby and Auckland's central city. It is a lovely heritage neighbourhood with lots of cafes, restaurants and is close to Auckland Zoo, MOTAT, Central down town & Eden Park . The space This self contained studio has been architecturally designed with great care & detail. With its own separate entry and large sliding door that open onto a sunny lush courtyard adjacent to a small native reserve. The courtyard has chairs and table and sits adjacent to our house and large kitchen windows, you may get a glimpse of us now and again although we do generally live out the back of the property. The studio comfortably sleeps two people. There is a very comfortable double bed with a high quality mattress, good linen, feather duvet & pillows. The new modern bathroom with shower has the luxury of underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is a small kitchenette with Bowls plates, cutlery, washing up facilities , Induction cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, mini fridge/ freezer for you to use. (No Oven) There is the excellent Farros (gourmet supermarket ) 2 minutes walk away along with many good cafes & eateries just around the corner. Tea, coffee are provided. Free Wifi and local TV Also provided are fan, hairdryer, iron & Ironing board (upon request). Parking is on the street and it’s free. Any other requests please get in touch and we would be happy to help if we can. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the courtyard garden and can enjoy independent access to the studio and come and go as they please. Please note the access onto our property up three small steps and can be a little uneven (although not dangerous), we are currently working with local council to fix this. Other things to note The studio does not have a washing machine - however there is a laundromat at the top of street. There is also a drying rack available on request for the studio. We do have small cats that like to play in the backyard - they are very friendly. If you have any allergies or special requirements please let us know and we will do the best to accommodate. To tourist coming from overseas New Zealand has mosquitos at certain times of the year and please be aware that sometimes repellent is required. We have bug spray and repellent in the room if needed. We have a help book with lots of information in the room to help guests with their stay in our accomodation.
