Cà Robberstad - Luminous, modern, quiet - Rialto

Our house is a luminous, elegant top floor with charming view over a quiet and picturesque canal, refurbished to a high standard in Autumn 2018. The house is only two floors high, but unobstructed. Very quiet, but only a few paces from the bustle of Strada Nuova, and within a few minutes' walk of Rialto and San Marco. Only a minute from the Cà d'Oro vaporetto stop, and very convenient for restaurants and nightlife in the immediate neighborhood and nearby Fondamenta Misericordia. The space All of Venice is beautiful and interesting, and almost every neighborhood has charm. This location, however, is near the absolute centre of the city, making the whole very accessible. It is only a 4 stops from the railroad station and 5 from Piazzale Roma with the vaporetto (Line 1), and also only 5 minutes from Fondamenta Nova, where the Alilaguna water buses from the airport arrive, and the vaporetti for Murano, Burano and Torcello depart. It is also rare to have an unobstructed top floor only two floors from the ground - most top floors are 4 stories from the ground, and there are not many elevators in Venice. Across the bridge and down the Calle is the busy Strada Nova, Venice's main street, with shops, cafés, "gelaterie", restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. From there, you can also take the Santa Sofia gondola ferry across to the Rialto market, which every morning except Sundays is overflowing with fresh fish, vegetables and fruit, as well as delicacies from everywhere. The Rialto market area is also one of the busiest areas at "aperitivo-time" with countless crowded bars offering "ombre", "spritz" and "cicchetti". The apartment has a large bedroom (for Venice), with ample wardrobe space, and a small balcony. The living room is large and luminous, with elegant, modern furnishings. The comfortable sofa converts into a very comfortable double bed, and there is a separate wardrobe also for any guests sleeping in the living room. There are large flatscreen smart TVs both in the living room and the bedroom, and fibre-optic internet connection with WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, water boiler, Nespresso-machine and both French and Italian coffe pots, and good porcelain, glasses and cutlery, pots and pans and everything needed to cook up a feast. The bathroom also contains a large, efficient washing machine. The house has mainly wood floors, and new double-glazed windows, and is equipped with reversible air-conditioning as well as new radiator heaters. To cozy up with a cup of tea or a glass of wine in the Bensen U-Turn and watch the sky turn blue and then black after a long day's walking in this most singular city is perfect preparation for hitting the "bacari", or perhaps someone is cooking today's catch from the Rialto market up in the kitchen......
