Rose Cottage, Tanybryn, Church Bay.
Description
Just a mile from beautiful Church Bay and surrounded by glorious countryside with easy access to the Anglesey coastal path. Visit our cosy self catering cottage complete with woodburner and wonderful sea views. Up to two well behaved dogs welcome ; additional fee of £15 per pet per stay. Payable via Airbnb The space Rose Cottage at Tan Y Bryn is a lovely purpose built two bedroom cottage nestled in the rural village of Rhydwyn less than a mile from the beautiful beach at Church Bay. It boasts stunning views of the bay and on a clear day lucky guests can sometimes spot the Wicklow Mountains way off into the distance. Rose is one of two cottages attached to our home here at Tan Y Bryn set in just over 3 acres with its own private and secure garden which looks out towards the bay. Perfect for couple and families alike, not only do we have one of Anglesey's favourite beaches just down the road, but from there access to some of the finest coastal walks in Wales.. The beautiful resorts of Cemaes Bay and Trearddur Bay are 10 minutes away and there are a host of other beaches and coves to explore nearby. We are half an hour from the mainland and 15 minutes from Holyhead. We are privileged to have the well known restaurant The Lobster Pot just down the road. The Church Bay Inn - halfway between us and the beach - has a fabulous beer garden and the views are just spectacular. Visitors must not miss the chance to drop in for a pint. It's been completely refurbished in the last couple of years and is well worth a visit. The cottages were built more than 15 years ago when the former farmhouse and its outbuildings were completely refurbished. The farmhouse remains our family home and the two bespoke cottages Rose and Stable are attached. A huge change from the pig barns that stood on the site originally. We have lived on the island for almost 50 years. Our children were all born here and, as such, are first language Welsh speakers. If you are interested in "dysgu Cymraeg" we would love to teach you a few words. Rhydwyn is a quiet village so if its is nightlife you crave, then we are probably not for you. There is plentiful parking at our beach but we would advise getting there early if you visit in the season. Not only is the beach beautiful but the Wavecrest Cafe is one of the best on the island and a personal favourite and attracts visitors far and wide in the season from April to September. Please note Rose Cottage is at the rear of the property and short walk from the parking area. There is a step up to the decking and into the bedrooms with a step down into the bathroom. If guests have mobility issues please consider booking Stable Cottage next door which has ramp access and an accessible wet room. Guest access As well as your own private garden, you also have access to a three and a half acre paddock. We have plenty of parking if you are bringing a boat or jet ski. N.b gravel parking. Other things to note If your chosen dates aren't available, have a look at our other listing for the cottage next door. We have Rose and Stable Cottage in Rhydwyn. Well behaved dogs are welcome but I would ask that they not be left unattended. I charge £15 per dog per stay. A hosepipe is available at the front of the property should they need to be showered off after a muddy/ sandy walk A barbecue is available on request. We ask guests to please clean the barbecue before departure and also not to light it on the decking. WIFI speed WiFi is available and we have a smart TV but WiFi will not reach the bedrooms. This is an old stone built property and all attempts to increase its range have so far failed.
