This room is one of the two bedrooms in the cottage. This cottage has a common living room and a kitchen. The cottage is surrounded by mountains, Jungle, tea garden and the property is boardering a beautiful river with many waterfalls. The estate main waterfall is just 5 minuets walk from the Cottage. This is a nature lovers paradise. The space Our place is a two bedroom cottage with attach bath, open common living area, kitchen and a outdoor BBQ area. Each room is around 145 square feet in size. The room is equiped with one queen size bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is equipped with instant warm water showers. We provide the bed linen, blankets, cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, all nessasarry saucepans, dishes. The kitchen is equiped with kettle, stove with gas, refrigerator, BBQ stove & rice cooker. Rates given is without any meals. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BBQ charcoal for the BBQ stove. Guest access Guest can access two tall waterfalls and three small waterfalls & a natural pool. The oldest stone statue in Sri Lanka called Galapitagala All these are located within our private property area. Waterfall No.01 Just 5 minutes walk from the cottage Waterfall No.02,03 & 04 Access is via a 45 minutes nature walk up hill. Can be a bit of a challenge. The foot path is by mountain edge. Not recommended for children or elderly persons. Natural pool is located near the 4th waterfall. Galapitagala (The stone sculpture) has been confirmed by the archeology department of Sri Lanka to be a man built stone sculpture more than 5000 years ago. 60 to 80 minutes hike uphill across a foot path with tall grass. The Lipton’s Seat lookout The Scottish tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton used to survey his burgeoning empire from here, and today it's said you can see across emerald hills and tea estates to no fewer than seven different provinces. 33km from The cottage. Horton Plains National Park is a protected park in the central highlands of Sri Lanka  and is covered by montane grassland and cloud Forrest. More information about getting to Horton Plains from out cottage. There are two roads to get there from our cottage. Option 1. Horton plains via "Devils Staircase" Just 28km from the cottage. It's a very beautiful scenic route. But this is a 4x4 route. Normal cars and vans can't go on this road. Lot of my guest go in a hired 4x4 vehicle, cycle or hike on this route. Option 2. Horton plains via Haputale and Boralanda 49 km from our property. It's a good road that any vehicle can go on. During your stay I will be at the location most of the time. Even if I'm not available the property caretaker will be available 24/7 for your assistance. I can be contacted by text message, Phone call or email. Other things to note No Wi-Fi connection. Only mobile phone & data coverage is provided by the service providers Etisalat & Mobitel for certain locations within the property. This property is a 48 acres in sizes and Wild life may be present at times. All activities within the property are of the guest own risk.
