Forrest Beach Family Holiday House

This large spacious family house has recently been fully renovated with all bedrooms and living areas larger than the normal house. This provides plenty of space for the guests or large family. The house is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and relaxing so all you need to pack is your food and family. The house is fully airconditioned but is also be kept cool by sea breezes through open windows and doors. The house is approximately 500m walking distance to a beautiful clean beach. The space The house has 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom both upstairs and downstairs. The house is fully airconditioned with ceiling fans in all the upstairs bedrooms and wall-mounted fans in the downstairs bedrooms. There is a port-a-cot available on request. A safety gate for the top of the internal stairs is also available for those families with babies and/or toddlers. This gate can be found in the wardrobe of the 2nd bedroom and easily inserted and removed. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cook top: oven: large refrigerator: microwave oven and all the cooking utensils needed to make your stay easy. As this house is used by the host for family holidays and get-togethers, there is often foodstuff in the pantry which guests are welcome to use should they have a need. The lounge room is very large with seating for 10 people. There is a large television in the lounge. There is a door that leads out to the front veranda and cool sea breezes will come through this door when left open. All bed linen and towels are provided so you don't need to pack these items. There is a fully equipped laundry downstairs with a clothes dryer and soap powder available for the guests. A gas BBQ and tables and chairs are also available under the house. Guest access The whole house is available to guests. Other things to note There is parking available on the spare block beside the house should there be more than 2 vehicles in the group. Guests are invited to make any special requests they might have and the hosts will make every endeavour to meet these. The beach has a stinger net which is great for an ocean swim and surf lifesavers patrol the beach on weekends during summer. Services available at the beach include: a fish and chip shop with evening meals available: the Forrest Beach Hotel which has a restaurant and free shuttle bus service for guests: a small grocery shop with the basics available: a chemist: a medical practice open 3 mornings a week: a newsagency and Australia Post office: a hairdresser: a real estate office. There are 2 boat ramps available at the beach with access to the Palms Island groups and great fishing spots along the coast. The house is approximately 20-30 minutes from Dungeness where a larger boat ramp is available and provides access to Hinchinbrook Island and the Palms Group.
